The House of Representatives will reconvene on Sunday evening, just less than 30 hours before the United States reaches the fiscal cliff.

House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, notified lawmakers that the House would come to order at 6:30 p.m. ET on Sunday in hopes of averting the end-of-year combination of tax hikes and spending cuts that constitute the fiscal cliff.

I’ll ask again...

Anyone claiming to be a conservative still supporting the GOP?

Any NEW excuses we have not heard before for the GOP selling out America and caving to the Dems?

Isn’t it about time to say enough and stop actively working against your beliefs? Because if you think you are going to change their behavior you are not helping.

The GOP-e cannot be trusted. They will throw us under the bus again and again. Bonehead can't wait to tell us that he has made a deal and it was the best he could get. He needs to be primaried along with his supporters.

I think I see this clearly. Mitch McConnell will Raise taxes for everyone over $500,000.(killing a million jobs) He will also increase spending for more welfare to those that won’t work(”unemployment”). After Raising Taxes and spending more he will send the Bill over the Boo Hooner who will seek “Bipartisan vote “ of the liberal republicrats to defeat the conservatives in the house. This outrage should seal his fate as Speaker in the vote on Jan 3 (I think he might even resign)

Yes and this time, when half of the ‘conservatives’ start making excuses for why all hell will break loose unless we keep feeding the GOP our votes, we better damn well tell them all to get stuffed.

Because it’s obvious whose side they are on.

If they’re going to reconvene, then the House should pass a clean bill extending or making permanent all the current tax rates, send it to the Senate, and adjourn sine die. No unemployment extensions, nothing else. Reid has been biding his time on purpose. He could have amended a bill the House had already sent him.

This must be ‘’Plan C.’’

There is nothing the Republican majority in the House can possibly do to avert the fiscal cliff that would justify this P.T. Barnum/Geraldo Rivera-type of hyped-up exercise in building up expectations for a particular event. Will the news networks be featuring countdown clocks to 6:30 p.m. Sunday? Will John Boehner pop out of a cake or just walk to the House podium as usual?

Harry Reid and the Senate will not endorse anything the House proposes, especially not in the circus atmosphere now being created. Harry Reid does not need anything from the Republicans. The biggest bribe in the world would not detour Harry from his chosen path toward America’s destruction, since his long corrupt career has already brought him millions.

Maybe if John Boehner announces a complete cave-in on Sunday evening, enough honorable Republicans will be in the audience to boo him off the stage so the event won’t be an unmitigated disaster.

John Cornyn (RINO-Texas) is also up for reelection in 2014. His incompetence as head of the NRSC gave us Lisa Murkowski.

Yup. Both of them will lose their leadership posts. But their “bipartisan legacy” will allow them to be popular at ruling-class roostertail parties.

I don’t know the details of KY politics. But let’s not forget, that Rand Paul
Beat Mcconnels hand picked candidate for Senate.
Any credible, Tea Party candidate has a chance in KY.
