So Roger has gotten over his mommy problems enough to be taken seriously on his opinions on world politics?
Careful with that mouth, Eugene.
There’s no fool like an old fool.
Waters is certifiably insane, bleating on about the exploitive nature of the music business in his opus “The Wall”, yet still grinding away after all these years with the same set piece as a vehicle to reach audiences and maintain his lifestyle in the Hamptons.
A long-standing Euro-lefty and radical Laborite such as himself shouldn’t surprise anyone with his dime store understanding of international anti-semitism, but as usual, he doesn’t even realize who is exploiting him now.
Waters always regarded people as falling into three categories: dogs, pigs and sheep.
Seems he’s arrived in his dotage to the last category: sheep. And as he wrote about sheep back then, he is now as they are:
“Hopelessly passing his time in the grassland away, only dimly aware of a certain unease in the air.
You’d better watch out, there are dogs about. I’ve looked over Jordan and I’ve seen, things are not as they seem”
All he does is lead a Pink Flood tribute band but Waters was the highest grossing rock star act last year at $86 million so now he has the status to shoot his mouth off and actually have people listen
How come Syd Barret is dead and this guy is alive?
Shut up and sing, Roger.
Gilmore was floyd, nuff sed!
Code-addled rock stars....what don’t they know?
Waters may wrote the most of the groups lyrics but without David Gilmore's BRILLIANT guitar playing - his solos are almost mystical - Pink Flyod would have been zero.
“Careful with that mouth, Eugene” That’s a good one.
Several species of small furry muslims, gathered in a cave and wiping with a stick.
I agree but also the keyboards by Richard Wright are brilliant (Shine On..., Us and Them, plus others). And then there's the drumming of Nick Mason - great. So many drummers overplay, but not Nick.
Maybe because Syd Barret was flamming drug addict?
All in all, just another bigot head up his ass.
Even before the drugs, Syd had serious mental health issues (he was schizophrenic).
Roger who? No, no... that was Roger Daltrey. Waters? Any relation to John? He looks like Richard Gere, only uglier, inside and out, if possible.
