Perhaps your definition of conservative is overly restrictive. That happens on Free Republic all the time. A narrow, tunnel visioned definition is said to apply when it really does not.

Perhaps it's not! Perhaps, conservatives who continue to rely on politicians who are not going to advance conservative values or principles are just whistling in the wind.

The decision will be made in the GOP caucus. They will NOT let the actual vote happen on the floor -- until they know what the results will be.

If more than 16 defect, they will twist arms and threaten until one Republican gets the number he/she needs.

They are the Party of Stupid, but even they are not stupid enough to not know who their members are voting for before the actual floor vote.

I am sorry but the people that actually control the gop split the gop in the 2012 election. The gop lost millions of members... myself included and after a lifetime of being a republican in my case... and the gop lost to obama because (Rush stated this himself) 3.5 million gop Conservatives refused to vote in the 2012 election. I did vote for romney but it took onyx and Jim Robinson working on me to get me to the polls.

Screw the gop... they have to EARN us back... we no longer support political party welfare. We support them when they do things correctly and punish them when they do not... but it will take years of earning back the base to get a solidified party. There is no question the leadership of the republican party is full on anti-conservative. So, what they are telling me essentially is to get lost. When the republican party comes crashing down, and believe me it WILL, then I am going to point conservative republicans (those who have the wrongheaded vision to stay put) to this moment in history and give the GOPe and all those rino prix the one digit SALUTE they so richly deserve!
