Feinstein urges Americans to 'bite the bullet' on gun control
By KEVIN CIRILLI | 12/30/12 9:59 AM EST
Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) said on Sunday that America needs to "bite the bullet" on gun control reform in wake of the Dec. 14 shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn.
"America has to bite the bullet of what these incidents mean to our people, to our nation and our nation's standing in the world," Feinstein said on "Fox News Sunday." "When you have someone walking in and slaying in the most brutal way, 6-year-olds, something is really wrong."
Feinstein is set to introduce gun control legislation that would enact stricter background checks and gun registration laws in wake of the Sandy Hook shooting, in which authorities say Adam Lanza, 20, killed 20 children and six others at the elementary school.

If a Repub made the statement it would be tatamount to telling the People that they should all be shot in the face...
How many "victims" of mass shooters are there per year? Compare that to the 2 million home invasions per year, the 400,000 women raped each year(just those reported). but the media makes it seem like mass shootings are all there is.
These stupid mass shooters that seek the media fame are a fluke statistically insignificant.
Out of 330 million people in the U.S.A only a handful have been mass shooters, the stars of the media/demcorats, the shooting stars.
compare that to the fact that 2,000,000 home burglaries are reported each year in the United States.
those are just the reported ones. The media is purposely putting many people who live in homes in danger by trying to take away their right and ability to defend themselves. The media hides this but concentrates on mass shootings which are trillions of times less likely to happen to you ( t never will believe me ). But there is a good chance criminals will invade your home. what are we supposed to do if 3 black young thugs invade our homes? Yes I most people will wish then to have an “assault” weapon , or at least a semi-automatic .45 which is what is needed in that situation, at least but a full automatic weapon would be even better at stopping these monsters invading our home.
almost 400,000 women get raped every year in the U.S. ,many of those get tortured and murdered too. So the media is putting many women in danger by hiding the rapes and murders of women but focusing on disarming them so they can't defend themselves too.
and I'm a man but I have female family members. the democrats want us disarmed so they can control us , genocide us, so we can't defend against a tyranical government and above all to empower government and at the same time disempower the individual
Because they are probably just as guilty as her.
I committed no crime, Diane.
I will not let you punish me.
I did not elect you, I do not answer to you, and you do not have the authority to infring upon my right to bear arms, you ugly arrogant stupid little troll.
How these people trade in their own personal freedom and peace, to push this anti-American agenda, is something I can not get my head around.
We know from history that people can only take so much loss of freedom and free will, before they snap.
These liberals push people so far that it is dangerous.
I am thinking they are not safe to walk around the countryside, without fear that someone is going to go postal and try to kill them.
They must have an army of protection, but they will never really be safe again.
What could they gain, in power or money, that is more precious to them then their own safety and peace?
I am baffled.
None of the changes would have prevented the shooting in Newtown.
But the fascist b*tch knows that...
Lanza did have a tat on his arm that said “anarchist communist” plus he was a Satanist. He’s a double hero of the Left.
Well, she got that part right. Trouble is, she doesn't recognize the role she and her liberal friends have played in bringing about the wrong.
No, Ms Feinstein, America needs to bite the bullet on taking lunatics off the streets and putting them back in the asylums, and on banning gun free zones.
If we do get an EO or legislation with a registration requirement, we all know that there will be massive non- compliance. Nonetheless, we need to start thinking about ‘gun haven’ zones, where citizens could keep or store their guns. This would require anti- registration and anti-confiscation legislation at the local and state level. Couple this with statements from sheriffs and governors guaranteeing non-compliance with the gun grabbers and you have created a redoubt of resistance. Those individuals living in fascistic blue states and cities could store any additional guns and ammo in the gun haven zones in warehouses without fear of confiscation.
Appealing to the 2A is not enough when you are dealing with those who openly detest the Constitution and BOR.
If anything comes down the pike, manufactures, dealers and owners, should just ignore it and dare the feds to enforce it.
Our standing in the world? Does anyone here really give a crap what the rest of the world thinks?
Does it get any lamer? To bad we can’t rent a billboard in CA that we know either Finkstein or her staff will see and tell her what we think of her temper tantrum.
“How these people trade in their own personal freedom and peace, to push this anti-American agenda, is something I can not get my head around.”
The Left WANTS a civil war/ rebellion so they can get rid of conservatives, libertarians, and Bible believing Christians once and for all. They need a pretext for unleashing state sponsored violence, that’s why they are being so provocative.
All of the ogres in history have ardently sought peace. But when they talk of peace, it means annihilating all resistance. Cemeteries are very peaceful places.
she is either profiting from this or senile or a moron ( IMO of course)
Most Americans turn to guns to protect themselves and their families from those that would do them harm. That includes criminals, but also includes government. I propose we tie gun control to government control. Remove power from the federal government and return it to the states and I will consider (like Democrats “consider” future spending cuts)further restrictions on guns. After all, wouldn’t the world have been better off if more Germans owned guns while Hitler was rising to power? Private gun ownership could have stopped WWII before it began. This would have eliminated the deaths of millions of innocent people. Private gun ownership could have also eliminated millions of innocent Russians from being killed by Stalin. More millions have been killed by powerful centralized government from tin horn dictators like Saddam Hussein, Pol Pot, and a host of others. The number of deaths caused by big government far outweigh the deaths caused by private citizens owning guns. I think it is time we address the real issue; big, centralized, over powerful government. Gun control without government control is simply reconstructing past environments that have led to untold human misery and the death of millions.
I believe she is doing the bidding, of the Chinese communists.
That is even worse.
Donnie Smith, the sheriff of Washington County, Maine, called for an “assault weapons” ban last week. This gun-grabber said that people aren’t allowed to own SCUD missiles or nuclear weapons, so they shouldn’t be allowed to own “assault weapons.” What an idiot. He’s equating semi-automatic rifles with nuclear weapons?
Washington County is a rural coastal county in “downeast” Maine, in the northeast corner of the state. It is a poor county, but like all of rural Maine, people are armed to the teeth. I live in a coastal county in Maine, but NOT Washington County.
Why don’t they podunk police departments and tiny sheriff’s departments give up their FULLY automatic weapons, tanks, armored personnel carriers, drones, and agressive SWAT teams who serve warrants for minor offenses before they try to strip us of OUR constitutional rights?
What about that pesky Second Amendment?
