KABUL (AP) - The family of an ailing, pregnant American woman missing in Afghanistan with her Canadian husband has broken months of silence over the mysterious case, making public appeals for the couple's safe return.
James Coleman, the father of 27-year-old Caitlan Coleman, told The Associated Press over the weekend that she was due to deliver in January and needed urgent medical attention for a liver ailment that required regular checkups. He said he and his wife, Lyn, last heard from their son-in-law Josh on Oct. 8 from an Internet cafe in what he described as an "unsafe" part of Afghanistan. The Colemans asked that Josh be identified by his first name only to protect his privacy.

You are but sometimes the jaw dropping ignorance just makes us shake our heads in unison. It’s hard to grasp that anyone can be that naive/stupid.
Oh absolutely! The exhaust looks like Skittles. ;-)
I do that too. lol
DJ, I’m not surprised by much any more.. Between the 60’s (Berkeley) crap (I was born in 1970) and what is happening today... all of the stupidity of the narrow minded idiots is jumping out and slapping us all across the face with a raw fish (mIRC days.. :p)..
The Communist manifesto has pretty much completed its goal of stupifying the USA population... worked pretty darn well too..
Do you think there is ANY chance we can recover without looking like Syria.. Cuba, Croatia, etc.. today? I honestly hope and pray it is possible.. but it is looking more bleak by the day (literally).. :/
Bikk
I’m hoping that a 2nd Obama term brings some to their senses. Kids have been taught propaganda so it would have to be older people that wake up.
The article doesn’t specify of course, but you just KNOW they have to be liberals. I bet they were prepared to show the locals that not all Americans are like those evil, Christian right-wing conservatives. They were going to tell them that they aren’t like them, that they are progressive, tolerant, and kind. They don’t want war; they want to sit down and talk it out. Then the Taliban terrorists laughed in their faces and took them anyway.
That said, morons that they are, if they really wanted to volunteer over there, they should have done so with a large humanitarian group where there would be protection, not solo. Also, they shouldn’t have gone while she’s pregnant with a liver condition to a country with absymal healthcare! I hope they are found, and I feel for her family. I have a feeling they were killed by some of the very people they went to help.
Totally OT here.. but, I learned to type because, back in the day, to be able to enact a ‘cheat code’ in a game, we had like a 5 second time limit to type it all in before the next ‘interrupt’ started. hehe.. (this was like around 1980 or so..
Made me learn where the heck the letters on the keyboard really quick :D
Sadly, out of habit, we all seem to tend to type in stuff that we are used to typing in more than stuff we mean to type in ;) .. not saying I am a narcissist for typing in ME instead of WE ... :)
According to Hazrat Janan, the head of the provincial council in Afghanistan's Wardak province, the two were abducted in Wardak in an area about 25 miles west of the capital Kabul. They were passing through Wardak while traveling from Ghazni province south of Kabul to the capital.
He said they were believed to have been taken from one district in Wardak to a second and then into Ghazni.
I have vision problems so I don’t see it until I post it.
Ironically, they’d probably be fairly safe touring through Iraq.
I know this much, neither one or both of them are worth the life of a Navy SEAL or any US Servicemember to go rescue them.
I didn’t bother clicking the link to read the rest of the article. I figured they weren’t worth that much.
Safer than Chicago.
But our guys would volunteer to go for the baby.
Double...no, triple feh!
There ain’t no fixin’ stupid.
That said I really do hope they are alright.
Our guys would go period, without hesitation because that’s who they are and what they yearn for, but these two don’t deserve their effort and high potential to sacrificing their own lives to do so.
