If a person is paying 10,000 in taxes and then “gets back” 5,000 in deductions, then why not only have them pay 5,000 in taxes?

Also why does no one get that having a tiered “progressive” tax system that is “supposedly fair” nothing but a tool for politicians on BOTH sides as a wedge for them playing class/economic warfare.

Anyone who picked up a Math Book in school and can actually understand it would realize that a Simple all inclusive FLAT tax is the only damn system that even approaches being “logically fair”.

If someone pays $10,000 in taxes and after a $5,000 deduction ends up paying $5,000 in actual taxes actually allows the government the use of their money during the year. The government always wins, sadly!
