As far as illegal immigration goes, the GOP must take its share of blame for allowing this to happen. Reagan granted amnesty. Bush 41 and 43 did nothing to stop it. I thought after 9-11 that the borders would be sealed, but no.
Big business wants cheap labor, and the GOP is the party of big business. As long as big business supports the GOP in the form of campaign donations, nothing will change.

IL will be the test case for the gun grabbers. As long as congress rejects gun control, any 0bama EO will not be enforced in red states. But look for another exploited event or Reichstag incident to give him momentum.

Fortunately all immigration laws DONT expire automatically and all guns are NOT outlawed automatically on a certain date or we would be going through the same circus we did with the automatic tax increases.

two bills in the republik of illinois, hb815 and hb 1263, will seek to drive gun ranges out of business and ban all semi auto hand guns, rifles and shotguns including all pump action shotguns and rifles. all are subject to confiscation by the state police. they will avoid taking all chicago gang bangers and drug lords guns.
Possibly, but things are trending in the right direction here at the moment. The state is getting backed into a corner on being the only holdout on conceal carry. Quinn wants to do some gun control measures but is not finding the votes in the legislature. We've even had a state's attorney in McClean County declare he won't enforce any IL gun laws he believes are inconsistent with Heller. This is all good. Gun grabbing is not going well here. And frankly, even the potentially Reichstag false flag moments are beginning to have the inverse effect from that allegedly intended. This isn't 1939 anymore.
