I’m a big fan of rapid controlled precision fire. It doesn’t matter if you’re facing a couple hoods on the staircase at home with a 1911, or if the lion is coming fast and you have to get another shot off from your Lott. Anything that reduces the amount of time it takes to get back on target should be considered.

For hunting rifles I like the designs of the English gunsmiths of the post WW I era, so any muzzle device would be considered sacrilege. I may have to noodle the trade-offs on a Gibbs. Something that reduces or eliminates muzzle rise - I wouldn’t think twice on a mouse gun.

Thanks ~ absolutely correct ~ irrespective of the inherent limits to the speed with which a firearm can be fired, the real issue is how fast can it be brought back to aim and fire at the target.

Leftwingtards imagine that 'spraying bullets' is the whole purpose of a firearm ~ which I suppose is the story passed around in the teacher's union members in New York City as they recount what their uncles and grandfathers in the IDF told them about using early Uzis.

Fortunately for the IDF better training was to come, along with better firearms also designed to be brought on target!
