The gatekeepers have lost their full control. Now what remains is being chipped away. The next wave will be when cable channel bundling is broken open where each channel is ala carte. One way is via some streaming media players like Roku, or the rumored Apple TV.
I see on Drudge from time to time that shows like Bill Oreilly have more viewers than the top 5 MSM news shows combined. And the over-the-air MSM news shows are running a lot of denture ads showing what their audience demos are.
Another example of MSM erosion: I think Glenn Beck has more subscribers to his newsletter than the New York Slimes has subscribers.

They just don't hand out badges saying you have a title of nobility but that doesn't make the rights and privileges disappear.

I would assume that every veteran on this forum would. That’s why we took our oath. It is also why the government disenfranchises our vote and tries to dilute our presence and atrength with things like DADT.
My post will anger many. It is meant to. It is also meant to wake us up and to keep us vigilant. The next 4 years will be a lot worse than the last 4 years. We saw what happened in Venezuela. We see what Europe looks like. We know who our enemies are within our own borders.

What is it about the term “arms” that they can not understand. Arms is a generic term that collectively means all forms of weaponry from the smallest to the largest.
The words chosen by the drafters of the amendment clearly demonstrate an overall intent to use terms that are as broad, sweeping, and all inclusive as possible.

I agree with you in that we are all left to wonder how many people would show up for a real bullets flying fight with the feds over the Constitution. In high school, twice, I looked around when the fists started flying and my buddy, each time, was nowhere to be found. So, similarly, some won’t show up but in the Revolutionary War about 25% of the populace were Tories and ran from the sound of the gunfire like the patriots. Same in the Civil War but less because deserters were shot if caught. So, it’s the same today. Poll after poll shows that 25% -29% support Obama on anything. Nothing’s changed.
In my case, I have recently had the 2nd Ammendment really impressed on me. I am temporarily living in a country where no one but the cops and thugs have guns. Worse than that, everyone, including the cops, judges and thugs are all related. So, robbing someone at gunpoint is a slap on the wrist! The perp is out on bond before the blood on the street dries. My condo complex has 3 guards at night. But, in reality, there are many of us here with assets and we all are just cannon fodder due to no 2nd Ammendment! A lady friend of mine was recently robbed. 3 amish types were the perps (surprise!). One put the barrel of his still smoking AK 47 to her face and ordered her to give him her cash and jewelry. Over a year later, she still gets the shakes when she thinks about it.
So, anyone that doesn’t think the 2nd Ammendment is worth dying for ought to hang out down here for awhile. I’m coming home! Soon. I hope not in a box.
Agreed. The fact that so many still can not see this is simply insane to me. It’s now or never —the communist movement was ALWAYS meant to be worldwide. The only thing that ever stopped it was the United States. They now have the US as close as they ever have -they are going for the whole thing. (they’d be crazy not to)

You got that right. People are not buying tactical weapons because they fear crime. They are certainly not going to register them or turn them in.
IMO Obama is going to push this issue until he gets CWII and can try to declare martial law. He is totally ignorant of the psyche of the American patriot heart because he grew up in Hawaii which is hardly the heartland of America. He has no clue of what it means to be an American, has no love of country and no love of his countrymen.
In 1933 the Reichstag fire was used as a pretext by Hitler to curtail the rights of German citizens including confiscating privately held fire arms. With the Sandy Hook shooting Obama now has his Reichstag fire.
