The Four-Year Honeymoon Will the press ever give Obama tough coverage?
The Weekly Standard ^ | 01/14/2012 | Fred Barnes

Posted on 01/06/2013 3:25:31 AM PST by Fzob

President Obama never disappoints. When the monthly unemployment rate fails to drop, forget it. What’s important is the number of jobs created. But when the rate actually does drop, forget the growth (or lack of it) in jobs. It’s the rate that matters. And don’t blame Obama for the persistence of slow economic growth and high joblessness. That’s the “new normal.” As for the millions of dropouts from the job market, that’s no big deal, hardly worth more than a passing mention.

Full credit is due Obama for his role in the overthrow of Libyan dictator Muammar Qaddafi. He was cleverly “leading from behind.” But the killing of the American ambassador to Libya and three others in Benghazi—the president bears no responsibility for that. Perish the thought.

Meanwhile, in the months before his reelection in November, Obama doled out government favors to Democratic interest groups like unions, Hispanics, teachers, and single women. This may have looked like shameless exploitation of his high office, but it really was unusually skillful politicking by a master of the game.

“Will the press ever fall out of love with Zero?”

The American so called “media” has been in love with all libs and dems for at least 60 years. This includes foreign “leaders” as well. I remember as a kid that the worst thing ever was hearing about the press in communist countries, controlling the message. We have come full circle, we are living the dream.Time to get ready for one- piece gray smocks and women in babooshkas

If Mugabi on the Potomac or his successors are no longer in power we will begin to see truthful accounts around the time the press decides they need a book deal to fund retirement.

No because they are part of hid administration, that would mean asking tough questions of themselves.

Uh, no. The lsm is now his loyal subject. To admit any fault of the king would be to commit suicide or be charged with treason.

The press is too racist to notice anything beyond Obama's skin color. They believe Obama deserves his Grammy (yes, he really has one of those) and his Noble Prize (we all noticed that, but they believe it was earned), and the offices he has been given so that he could be the "First Black" in those positions. We can't expect even an attempt at honesty from them, probably ever again.

They’ll give him tough coverage when the barbarians on the other end of his BlackBerry tire of him and decree that he get tough coverage.

Until then, it’s “Ministry of Truth” all the way.

Problem is that Barnes and his fellows at The Weakly SubStandard and Fox News give Obama passes on many things...notably Obama Eligibility. Kinda hard to trash the Liberal Media for something when you are part and parcel to the Liberal Media

And don’t forget that apparently homelessness has apparently disappeared. And the hurricane Sandy victims in NJ and NY, who were promised “everything in my power” . . . .

As I've posted many times before on this site (I've said the same thing about Bill Clinton):

Zero could shotgun murder a group of praying nuns on the White House lawn at high noon on Christmas day in front of every TV camera in the US, high on tequila and cocaine, and you'd never hear about it.

Damn the American MSM to hell for foisting this man on us.

Nah.

Superior human beings, who hate Christians, will always love other superior, Christian-hating human beings.
It’s only natural. /s/

IMHO

Wow, Fred. Glad you finally noticed. Now crawl back into your beltway cocoon, and wait for the next dinner party invitation. You’ll have to do a few days of extra pennance after this outburst.

Each and every media "pundit" (bar a few) have been issued their set of golden knee pads...daily wearing is a requirement to have access to our "king"

After his reign (Obama) is over, they all will be bronzed and put on display in their homes...sort of like religious relics of old...

When they are all old and gather together to retell old news stories they will gather around their Obama relics and spin tales of his greatness...

Once the Press has created its beloved totalitarian state it will not dare oppose it. That is due to the nature of totalitarian states.

Of Moquetezuma it was said, "You could not look at him, you could not touch him, you could not turn your back on him. He was a god!"

I had to explain to students what this meant. Wonder if anyone gets what this means? If so, post it. Looks like we're getting close to the same thing being forced on us by the subverted media.
