While I disagree with your assessment regarding total votes (only needed a small percentage of that in key swing states), your statewide elections comment was SPOT ON.

Grow up.

That so makes me want to see your point of view.

My point of view is if you absolutely cannot live without affixing blame in this disaster then you should blame the author of it - Mitt Romney.

INSIDE THE CONSERVATIVE REBELLION AGAINST JOHN BOEHNER

Some rebellion - he was re-elected and only a handful even had to courage to vote for someone else. Well, the "good news" is that after four years, the genius Weeper figured out that it is stupid to meet with 0bama one on one - 0bama makes him look like a fool every time!

I was curious up until I read the name “Norquist” in the first few sentences . Curious no more.

There was a piece out recently which pointed out that the last election re-elected the same candidates with the most negative record among voters in history. Incredulously, Norquist and his ilk continue to defend their record. That the RINO politic retains any credibility at this critical point in American history is beyond all comprehension.

Regardless of what the non-voting “conservatives” rationalize about Romney does not bear the truth that no matter how unperfect Romney was, we would have been immensely better off had he been elected, now and in the future.

Lack of any recognizable leadership will do this to you.

There is leadership, it's called the Republican-e. Problem is, Conservatives won't and shouldn't follow them.

Romney's established actual RECORD was the record of a competent functional liberal Democrat. He not only wasn't "perfect" enough for them, they were SMART enough to realize that voting for him would have been voting AGAINST their own best interests.

Hmm, "liberal Democrat". Seems redundant to me. All elected Democrat Senators and Congressman and our Democrat President are all at least liberal.

Anyway about the presidential vote.

Some people such as myself thought that voting for Romney, who has a liberal record and who was running on a mostly conservative platform was the smart option against Obama.

Others such as yourself thought that doing something else, was the "smart" option.

Surely, he (Romney/Republicans) had your support and vote? Surely, your vote was to keep Bowbama out of the Presidency for four more years? My guess: Surely not!

Why don't you take a swing at the enemy for a change.

The last time I looked, liberalism and statism were the enemy. Pssst .... Romney, father-of-ObamaCare environmentalist gay adoption-loving pro gun control statist Romney, is the enemy. He just lost an election for conservatism that should have been impossible to lose. Hello?

Those who voted third party or sat out the last election need to own up to the consequences of their actions.

I do. I own up to the fact that I was part of preventing an amoral statist (look at his record, please) registered as a Republican from conquering conservatism. The man should either be a Democrat, or "Republican" as a brand and identity should be thrown into the trash for the useless joke it's become.

Obama is vulnerable and weak right now, and so is liberalism. This is a clarion call to that fact. Romney is past, a loser, sayonara.

That he lost is just that much more evidence of the unseen reality that most regular joe Americans are disgusted with liberalism and statism.

Vote fraud, just enough to swing the balance of elections, is real -- or do you really think Al Franken, for example, didn't cheat? Vote ginning to favor liberals is real, complicated and diversified. What's fake is the MSM and pop culture portrait of Americans who love liberalism, and when elections bear the portrait out, more and more Americans hold their fellow countrymen in contempt for being stupid liberals -- when the reality is the real liberals are few and far between and held in high contempt. But the MSM and pop culture doesn't go there. That's something people must do on their own initiative. Initiative -- like reading the responses of fellow Americans to MSM stories on gun control, Hillary vs Palin, and Obama. Really, about the only folks who are liberals are the talking heads and celebrities, along with a few readers dumb enough to fall for it. But most folks see right through it. They may not be "Republicans" or "conservatives," but they despise liberalism and cherish the right to pursue happiness as free individuals.

As long as a person thinks his country is dominated by idiots, that person is on the losing side by definition.

I have more faith in my countrymen.

Why should a statist have my support and vote? Why did he have yours?

Why should a statist have my support and vote?

So as not to allow a statist/communist to be in the Oval Office. You must love the guy in there now...

Thought you would be interested in reading Bev's addendum to her comments on Matthew Boyle's article that was posted on Breitbart.com. Here it is:

*********
I received so many responses from folks thanking me for sending the email and I appreciate your support.
Republicans are sick and tired of watching so called Conservatives beating up other Conservatives. I'll tell you this though, the Democrats are counting on these so called Conservatives to continue the beatings. It's the BEST tool the Dems have ever had! All the infighting worked so well for them in this last election.

On that note, check this out:
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/jan/6/obama-supporters-shocked-angry-new-tax-increases/?page=2

If ever there was a time to for all Conservatives to stick together and go on the offense, it is now! Here comes the whining from those who voted for Obama and those who didn't vote at all because they didn't like Romney, he wasn't perfect enough for them! Well not voting was a vote for Obama so suck it up now like the rest of us who will now suffer for your reckless decision.

It is unfathomable to me that any so called Conservatives would continue attacks on Republicans. Surely, they realize their mistake, right?

We've got serious issues facing us folks, and with a Democrat run bankrupt state here in Illinois, a Democrat run White House in a bankrupt nation, Harry Reid leading the Senate who has NEVER passed a budget, gun grabbing the new bright idea of the Dems, radical jihadists infiltrating even our own government, with all that facing us, surely the so called Conservatives will focus on attacking the Democrats, right? Surely they realize that we all need to stick together now and fight the “institutional left” as Andrew so well labeled this dangerous enemy within. Surely, after examining their destructive tactics of beating up Republicans and our candidate, surely they see the disastrous results and are ready to STOP ATTACKING OUR OWN and are ready to focus full force on the Democrats and their dangerous agenda, right?

Surely they realize that engaging in this backstabbing behavior makes them a tool of the left or as Andrew Breitbart said is so blatantly well: “YOU ARE ON THE OTHER SIDE!”

It is my hope the so called Conservatives stop shooting arrows in the back of Republicans. Look at it like this: We are on a battlefield, charging the enemy, if you are among our ranks and you are shooting your arrows in our backs as we charge, you are the enemy among us!

Enough!

This last election is the result of a lack of unity among Conservatives. The time for UNITY is now and the time for victory is now, the Democrats are already starting to complain! There is enough for all of us to agree on but if “perfection” is what you require, start your own party and good luck with that. We are tired up being set-up for failure by trying to meet your “perfect” standard! Andrew spoke about this in his speech at CPAC (the link is in the email below). In this republic, by the very nature of the Constitution many of you like to tout, if your party is not in the majority, you have to work the best deal you can!

In honor and in the spirit of Andrew Breitbart,

This is our war cry for 2013, Join us in our bunker to fight the institutional left, or go to the other side!

The truth isn't mean, it's the truth!

You must love the guy in there now, too, because the guy you voted for, Romney, was philosophically on pretty much the same liberal page as proven by his RECORD. But you don't know anything about his record; you apparently believe that words speak louder than actions.

You believe that a statist registered as a Democrat shouldn't get my vote, and you believe that a statist registered as a Republican should.

With Republicans like you, who needs Democrats? On the other hand, what's the point of being a Republican if the Republican nominee's entire political RECORD is one of advancing and supporting SIX major liberal causes (environmentalism, socialized medicine, the gay agenda, tax-funded abortion, gun control, and liberal judges)? You can look it up. I did. It's why I refused to vote for him. I don't vote for liberals and statists. PERIOD.

Either you are wholly ignorant with regard to Romney's actual record of action, OR you believe statists and liberals deserve your support and vote. Admit it.

What infuriates me is people like yourself demanding we all go along to elect a guy we don’t want.

I never demanded anything from anyone! We all are free to vote for whomever we want. It is a FACT that those who did not vote for Romney only helped Obama win. Romney was not my first choice for the Republican ticket, but I was determined to do everything I could to keep Obama from winning four more years in the White House.

Right now, I certainly would rather have Romney in the White House! And if that had happened the Republicans could have also taken control of the U.S. Senate.

So, I understand. In 2014 and 2016, if the candidates you get to vote for on the Republican ticket are not conservative enough, you won't vote for them. The Communist DEMS will sure love you for that action!!

Obama won by 5 million votes.

Here are the totals I found:
The total we have is 62,615,406 votes (51%) for President Obama, with 332 electoral votes; and 59,142,004 (48%) votes for Mitt Romney, with 206 electoral votes. Barack Obama thus got 3,473,402 votes more than Romney.

One must also remember that the swing states of Florida and Ohio would have made certain that Romney would have won.
