On New Years Eve, schlockumentary filmmaker Michael Moore made a resolution to stop saying he supports the troops.
On Thursday, Moore put an exclamation point on this anti-American insanity publishing a piece at the Huffington Post entitled Those Who Say 'I Support the Troops' Really Don't.
I don't support the troops, America, and neither do you, Moore began.
Moore then elaborated on six offenses either suffered by our troops or thrust upon them by Americans.
These included: being sent off to wars that have NOTHING to do with defending America or saving our lives; having their homes foreclosed on them while theyre overseas; regular citizens never visiting VA hospitals to see how people there are being treated; female soldiers being raped; no one helping homeless vets, and; suicide.
In Moores view, since he and most other Americans arent doing anything about these issues, we dont really support the troops.
"..eat a ham sandwich"
I kinda have to agree with his first point...
“...sent off to wars that have NOTHING to do with defending America or saving our lives.”
Personally? I’m kind of tired of seeing our troops used as the world’s police.
Moore is full of crap.
As a Veteran and member of the American Legion I support the troops and their Veterans homes. Freepers were once stationed outside Walter Reed every week.
What has Moore done except make big bucks off lies and inuendo abut America. Moore is right about himself , he doesn’t support anything that doesn’t make him a buck.
He is a fat ,nasty looking,piece of slime with no pride in his personal hygiene, his country or anything else.
As much as I hate to admit it, the slob has a point here.
I've wondered for a long time what these men and women are fighting for when while they're away, this Country is turning into a third world communist shit hole and there is no denying the Government on more than one occasion has turned its back on vets.
They're sent to fight a war with their hands tied behind their backs, no firing on the enemy without legal approval lest they be brought home and tried then convicted for murder.....let alone being allowed to be victorious?
Sorry, but that is the truth.
“Tommy” by Rudyard Kipling
I went into a public-’ouse to get a pint o’ beer,
The publican ‘e up an’ sez, “We serve no red-coats here.”
The girls be’ind the bar they laughed an’ giggled fit to die,
I outs into the street again an’ to myself sez I:
O it’s Tommy this, an’ Tommy that, an’ “Tommy, go away”;
But it’s “Thank you, Mister Atkins”, when the band begins to play,
The band begins to play, my boys, the band begins to play,
O it’s “Thank you, Mister Atkins”, when the band begins to play.
I went into a theatre as sober as could be,
They gave a drunk civilian room, but ‘adn’t none for me;
They sent me to the gallery or round the music-’alls,
But when it comes to fightin’, Lord! they’ll shove me in the stalls!
For it’s Tommy this, an’ Tommy that, an’ “Tommy, wait outside”;
But it’s “Special train for Atkins” when the trooper’s on the tide,
The troopship’s on the tide, my boys, the troopship’s on the tide,
O it’s “Special train for Atkins” when the trooper’s on the tide.
Yes, makin’ mock o’ uniforms that guard you while you sleep
Is cheaper than them uniforms, an’ they’re starvation cheap;
An’ hustlin’ drunken soldiers when they’re goin’ large a bit
Is five times better business than paradin’ in full kit.
Then it’s Tommy this, an’ Tommy that, an’ “Tommy, ‘ow’s yer soul?”
But it’s “Thin red line of ‘eroes” when the drums begin to roll,
The drums begin to roll, my boys, the drums begin to roll,
O it’s “Thin red line of ‘eroes” when the drums begin to roll.
We aren’t no thin red ‘eroes, nor we aren’t no blackguards too,
But single men in barricks, most remarkable like you;
An’ if sometimes our conduck isn’t all your fancy paints,
Why, single men in barricks don’t grow into plaster saints;
While it’s Tommy this, an’ Tommy that, an’ “Tommy, fall be’ind”,
But it’s “Please to walk in front, sir”, when there’s trouble in the wind,
There’s trouble in the wind, my boys, there’s trouble in the wind,
O it’s “Please to walk in front, sir”, when there’s trouble in the wind.
You talk o’ better food for us, an’ schools, an’ fires, an’ all:
We’ll wait for extry rations if you treat us rational.
Don’t mess about the cook-room slops, but prove it to our face
The Widow’s Uniform is not the soldier-man’s disgrace.
For it’s Tommy this, an’ Tommy that, an’ “Chuck him out, the brute!”
But it’s “Saviour of ‘is country” when the guns begin to shoot;
An’ it’s Tommy this, an’ Tommy that, an’ anything you please;
An’ Tommy ain’t a bloomin’ fool — you bet that Tommy sees!
Let me see if I understand this. The morbidly obese Moore believes that the military are sent by Americans to do violence on their behalf unfairly.
And now the unbelievably morbidly obese Moore is hoping to sent the military to do violence on HIS behalf, but believes it is fairly asked.
So, like all liberals, the dangerously morbidly obese Moore has no problem with violence; he just wants it to be done by others and on his behalf, because, presumably, his massive well-fed size and inbred cowardice precludes him actually doing it himself. So he talks violence. Like liberals everywhere.
On another subject, we learn that one out of seven children in America goes to bed hungry. Of course they do; that’s because Moore is eating all their food. And, of course, he asks others, e.g. the military, to work off the calories.
Mouth control for Michael Moore.
When they wrote the first amendment, they didn’t mean it to be used in the way Moore is using it. He uses it as an automatic weapon, which is dangerous to people who disagree with him.
I think Moore is way over his large capacity magazine of words. Does he really need to say that many words? I think 10 words should be enough for him.
He also needs to get his mouth registered and we need to see if he is even mentally competent to speak.
WHY does anyone listen to this dill weed. . .much less QUOTE him?
Michael Moore couldn’t punch out Mayor McCheese even if the Hamburglar held both his arms for him. Someone please hand Moby Dickless a bucket of wet cement and tell him it’s a milkshake?
Fatso Moore recommends violence while flanked by his bodyguards.
But even without them the hardest punch to that oleaginous face would just be absorbed like hitting a giant sponge.
Twenty years back an obese Al Sharpton was stabbed with a nine inch knife & it failed to hit anything vital.
Maybe that’s why MM stays so huge.
then SURELY Michael Moore is "America's DUMBA$$"
I passed a lot of military people the other day in Houston Airport and thanked them all for their service. I also routinely do the same for police and firefighters.
Michael Moore can go to Hell.
Yeah but who does the world call when it needs a cop?
High time somebody punched this fat scumbags lights out. I’ve been involved in veterans groups, donating money, my time to take WW2 vets to talk to schoolkids,the most awesome, inspiring thing I have ever done. I’m talking tears when you see the reaction of kids listening to these men.For a time a niece of mine was dating a Marine who was on his second tour of duty in Afganistan(1st. Battalion ,6th. Marine Regiment). My wife and I ‘’adopted’’ his squad and sent regular care packages of everything you could think of, including “Road And Track’’ magazine. When the young man came home he gave me a hug and told me how much that meant to him and his fellow Marines. Imagine an old guy like me getting a hug from a Marine! The one thing I’ve heard from vets of every war is that they not be forgotten. Yes, they like the gratitude we express but more meaningful to them is that they not be forgotten about, either when deployed or when they come home. This fat scumbag, I don’t even think enough of him to use his name, needs to shut the f**k up and maybe volunteer some of his time and money to those who make it possible for him, for all of us to live the way we do.
As much as I loathe him, he is actually making some good points. For instance, how many of those who say they support the troops actually take time to visit a wounded soldier in a VA hospital? My guess would be very few.
