The Klan's Favorite Law
David B. Kopel|Feb. 15, 2005 12:00 am
If you believe everything that Michael Moore says in Bowling for Columbine and his books, then you would think that "pro-gun" people are white racists, and that "gun control" would be a wonderful way to help minorities. But a look at America's past reveals what historian Clayton Cramer has accurately called "The Racist Roots of Gun Control."
After the Civil War, the defeated Southern states aimed to preserve slavery in fact if not in law. The states enacted Black Codes which barred the black freedmen from exercising basic civil rights, including the right to bear arms. Mississippi's provision was typical: No freedman "shall keep or carry fire-arms of any kind, or any ammunition."
Under the Mississippi law, a person informing the government about illegal arms possession by a freedman was entitled to receive the forfeited firearm. Whites were forbidden to give or lend freedman firearms or knives.

The history of Gun Control in the USA is a sordid one, and is absolutely a mechanism to control free men.
Just read up on Dr Ossian Sweet for some background on the racist roots of gun control in Michigan. (1925) A black man had the audacity to move into a white neighborhood and the black man defended his home against the mob and left a white man dead.
Sweet was aquitted and by 1927 the first gun registration law was on the books in Michigan.
(Its also important to note that an all white jury acquitted Sweet)
But, but , but!! Republicans are and always have been in favor of oppressing the Negroes. Democrats are abolutely certain about this!! Its an article of progressive faith.
People like Michael Moore want so much to be good people. They just can’t. They are prime examples of stupid.
The “new Klan” does not need to bully honest black people into laying down their arms. Why bully when wheedling suffices?
Anyone who wanted to be good would at least TRY not to lie so much. This is a guy who wants influence any way he can get it.
Gun Control. Another thing we can thank the Democrats for.
Democrats: dead wrong on every issue!
Some blacks have endured leftist brainwashing for so long, that it takes virtually no effort whatsoever to get them to do exactly what their Borg masters want them to.
Had a long conversation with my Dad today about current events, and after about an hour, I threw up my hand and told him that I just didn't have the breath left to keep going. No matter the topic, the man faithfully replayed the stock left-wing talking point back to me as though it was the God's honest truth. I shot every one of them full of holes, but it was exasperating. There's just no end to it.
This is another shallow premise, read a bit about the Reconstruction years in the South and you may have the beginning of a rationale for gun control against the carpetbaggers and their crooked black politicians that ruled the south until 1877.....these tools were similar to the current leadership of Detroilet, MI. Wake the hell up and quit listening to the idiot Republicans as well as the crappy Democrats.
Iirc the KKK went to lynch a black man who defended himself with a shitgun. They had him arrested and the court decision was that a shotgun was not a military arm and only military arms were protected by the second amendment.
It’s sad that he can’t see that the black leaders he does follow were primed with nonsense that came from white people. Who else would entertain the idea of a different race as an underdog at all? Would the original denizens of Africa show mercy to a race, odd looking to them, that came and tried something like that, there?
Well, my dad's been a mainstream American all his life and doesn't really follow 'black' leaders. It doesn't matter, though. He was completely assimilated by the left-wing Borg long ago.
