Not a lot of blind people playing golf, except at night! LOL
Saw an electrified AC Cobra Kit car at an alt energy show that had a boom-box system that played real Cobra exhaust tones, in synch w/ the motor speed. I thought to myself at the time, and continue to this day,”stupid!”.
A spotted-owl screech.
Of course, with the silence I am sure he could hear my congratulating him upon his vehicle choice and other sundry remarks.
B-36 take off sound.
B-36 take off sound.
Silent at 30 mph w/ pedestrians is a recipe for trouble.
I'd rather the government stop creating environmentalist incentives to FORCE a stupid concept doomed to fail. Electric vehicles are stupid solutions to an imaginary problem. The only way they make sense is if they're in a hybrid gas-electric mix, and even then, stupid and wasteful overall.
And they're flops because people are smarter than the stupid electric concept. What alternatives, though -- the inventive Americans who could build really smart, strong little vehicles to make things more efficient, are strangled in infancy. American productivity is under seige. Environmentalism has seized political power that is strangling American enterprise and self reliance, in everything from food production (fishing, farming, ranching) to manufacturing. The only reason crap from China sells is because Americans are shackled by government regulation of some sort of another from doing it themselves.
Environmentalism is a malevolent force pushed by a minority working to brainwash the increasingly ignorant (therefore gullible) majority on an idiot premise ("save the planet"). The idiot premise is simple to evaporate with math, basic grasp of time, and a bit of knowledge about geological science. Americans are sensible: our entire duration on "the planet" since the first human stirrings millions of years ago, has been a fragment of a freefloating nanosecond in our context. We are a sparkle of dust. We could no more recognize, let alone manipulate, the climate than Obama could fart unicorns.
We are Americans, though. Better than anyone expects. I think a lot, if not most, halfway educated and informed Americans at least suspect environmentalism is wholesale hornswaggle, and when push comes to shove, will toss the tree-hugger garbage away and reclaim their birthright to fish, farm, manufacture, and LIVE prosperously and morally.
Grrrrrr. The whole electric vehicle push, like pretty much all of liberal-spawned regulation, serves only to create strife and hardship.
Awesome. : )
Apparently we all will need perfect spider senses...going forward....if OBanana has his way.
Ah, though ... just what the world needs: more "pieces of flair."
Perhaps, in the end, it should sound like This familiar mobile sound.
The first week my buddy had his Volt it completely drained twice because he couldn ‘t tell if he turned it off.
Just collateral damage in the war against climate change.
“Just a hunch - I bet she has “severe” bobbed hair, is age 60+ and has a “Free Tibet” and/or “Love Your Mother Earth” sticker on her car.”
You are behind the times. She would have a “Coexist” sticker now.
“B-36 take off sound.”
If I recall right were they not the bombers with the backwards prop engines? Trouble is I think they were piston (that had problems with overheating) not turboprop. I think they were featured in “Strategic Air Command” with James Stewart.
A very large majority of Americans HAVE voted to ban the damn things completely - by avoiding them like the plague that they are.
“The first week my buddy had his Volt it completely drained twice because he couldn t tell if he turned it off.”
LOL. I almost did that myself a couple of times in the first week with my Leaf.
“BAN ELECTRIC CARS - too dangerous, too stupid, too VERY expensive, too little bang for the buck.
A very large majority of Americans HAVE voted to ban the damn things completely - by avoiding them like the plague that they are.”
A lot of people said that about airplanes in the beginning. Really. What more can be done with the internal combustion engine? EVs and batteries are at the “Intel 286” stage.
Well said and sums up my thoughts exactly!
Uh huh... don't bet on it. You'll lose.
We're now less than 2 years into Obama's push for electric cars, and the bankruptcy of many is the result. Six of 11 plug-in cars are now out of business, ended production or have not created a single car.
The Chevy Volt factory has had two major production stoppages. Ford managed to sell about 10 vehicles.
Electric cars now represent just 0.1 percent of total U.S. sales - and an even more miniscule segment of vehicles that are actually "on the road."
Chevy Volts and Nissan Leafs, both heavily subsidized by Obama - are still far too pricey and impractical for most consumers. So expect the internal combustion engine to be around a lot longer than you think.
