Vice President Joe Biden says the 2012 election will be forever viewed as a turning point for the Latino community, whose political and economic power is "just about to take full flight."
"What's finally happened is the American people, the American people have finally begun to understand …the awesome potential, future potential of the Hispanic community," he said Thursday at a welcome reception for new Latino members of Congress. "...Now the nation -- and I might add the hemisphere -- understands the Hispanic community must be courted. Must be courted."

yes, but the Republican Party candidates should “court” the Hispanics with the prospect of a restored economy offering them (and everyone) good jobs and business opportunities... thus... a far, far better life than just food stamps and “free” Obamaphones telling them, us when to vote to re=elect the Alien In Residence
in other words, the American Dream, so-called, the opportunities which (along with the liberty we formerly had) enabled millions of previous immigrants to succeed making good lives for themselves (ourselves) here in USA
The R party just needs to reach out and promote the very same things that have always worked in America (before Obama, of course). There is nothing new, surprising, or radical about what the R party needs to do to win
but of course the R party leadership will not pay any attention (and it will lose the next election, too, possibly to Plugs Biden...)
So there you are, a 60’s era African-American civil rights warrior (e.g Rev. Al, Rev uhhhJacksohnnn....) You’ve spent your whole life fighting for equality and so forth. Beaten on the streets of Selma. Dogs attacking you in Birmingham.

Many years ago, white old democrat politicians said this about Hispanics in California and they were right. Now even the old white CA politicians are being replaced by Hispanics.
Anyone with eyes can see that this is exactly what is happening; any maternity ward or schoolyard should clearly show it (even in “white” neighborhoods). Like their European cousins, white Americans are contracepting themselves into extinction. Given the current legal and economic atmospheres, don’t expect that to turn around any time soon; the idea of sacrifice (for children, or to make a marriage work) is dead...
