There is no one that you or I think should be picked for Defense Secretary that would stand a chance of Obama nominating.

That's no reason to roll over for Barky and let him have what he wants. (He's a bottom, anyway.)

In my view an enlisted combat veteran serving as Secretary of Defense in this administration is about as much as anyone could hope for.

Two of the three great tyrants foretold by Nostradamus were enlisted veterans -- one Corsican corporal and one Austrian. Don't settle, agitate. Never give someone like Obama what he wants.

I don't buy your argument. I don't get my shorts in a wad over political gamesmanship. The politicians of both parties are self interested fools none of which deserve to be elected to any office. I know it makes most here feel better to “agitate” but I think its a waste of time. The fact is policy in this country is decided and elections are won by what the folks in the middle think.

The GOP lost an election they should easily have won by relying on “agitating” their base for the four years Obama had been in office and never once offered the electorate anything more than opposition to Obama...ABO was as stupid an idea as any political party in history has run on.

Folks can tell themselves anything they want but the bottom line is that the GOP lost the election. Obama won and if he can make appointments and policies that make the right furious he will do so. He knows the greatest weapon he has is the ability to make the right look like fools to the folks in the middle that actually decide where this country is headed.

I wont play that game....
