New Jersey Governor Chris Christie held his own this morning against a barrage of gotcha questions from NBC's Matt Lauer mostly trying to get him to rip fellow Republicans and support a federal ban on assault weapons.
When asked if he was "happy" with direction of the Republican Party due to his recent criticisms of House Republicans, Christie pointed out that his strong reaction was because Hurricane Sandy is "above politics."

They're both idiots . . . after Kristie Kreme's hugfest with the illegal alien living in our White House, I've lost all respect for him.
Thought Lauer was losing his job....it cannot be too soon...
Ditto
Do you have a link?
Christie ate Lauers lunch.... literally.
Christie Crushes Lauer’s Gotchas
OUCH!!! He must have sat on them!!!
Lauer is a useful idiot, being used to sell us the left’s Official Reality.
If he were not effective in “getting the message out” he wouldn’t be there. If he just once said, I’m not gonna read that, or issued a statement critical of Dear Leader, he’d be gone.
As is he’s a consistent salesperson for Official Reality.
BINGO!!! Right on.
Even among liberals, Lauer is a mental lightweight - which says a lot.
And the less said about Christie, the better.
I don't support what Christie did, but I understand it. I'd hug Obama, too, if my family was in danger and I thought he'd help.
Christie should have known Obama wouldn't help, but it might be that his state would have crucified him if he'd ignored the POTUS.
Seriously guys, deigning to weight jokes against a man whose policies are atrocious enough is a bit below the modicum expected of conservatives. There are plenty of heavy set conservatives in this world, myself included, who you would likely agree with wholeheartedly, and while I don’t care for Christie’s policies or his politics, I wouldn’t go so far as to put the man down for his weight. It’s a supplemental negative, but it’s not the primary reason we dislike him.
Just call a spade a spade and leave physicality out of the equation. We sound like liberals when we do otherwise.
Did you say “spade a spade” ?
Uh-oh...
“Just call a spade a spade and leave physicality out of the equation. We sound like liberals when we do otherwise.”
Nicely put - you’d think this was a forum for Mr. America the way some of these people criticize the physical features of our public servants to make their point.
White Powder Matt gets stomped again.
Agreed!
O.K.
Sorry.
He can’t help his weight, but he can help being a RINO.
