Do not weaken. The people are right. King Obama is wrong. Our “sin” will be to despair and to give up. Be strong. Have faith in the republic. Believe in it now more than ever because it is God’s gift to us.
The decline was certain in 1963, when Senator Dirksen, old compromiser that he otherwise was, could not get 2/3 of his chamber to support his school prayer amendment. The people didn’t insist on the Dirksen Amendment and even increased the Democrat Senate majority in 1964. The people started the decline, and it can’t be stopped.
