Washington, D.C. A pair of polls out this week shows the dire state the Republican Party finds itself in and a way out of the wilderness, should Republicans choose to take it.
Poll No. 1: Rasmussen Reports found that views of the tea party the wing of Republicanism that dominates party primaries and therefore the congressional Republican caucuses at a new low. Only 8 percent of likely voters considered themselves tea-party members, down from 24 percent in 2010. According to Rasmussen (which tends to have a pro-Republican bias), unfavorable views of the movement topped favorable views, 49 percent to 30 percent.
Poll No. 2: Fairleigh Dickinson University found that 73 percent of New Jersey voters approved of the job their Republican governor, Chris Christie, is doing near his all-time high. Even 62 percent of Democrats approve of Christie, as well as 69 percent of racial minorities and 70 percent of women. The top would-be challenger to Christie in Novembers gubernatorial election is trailing him by 33 percentage points

Chris Christie? No, thanks.
A couple more sloppy kisses between him and the Obamunist and he can run in the Dem primaries.
“only 8 per cent of likely voters consider themselves TEA Party members...”
First of all, the “TEA” in TEA Party should be capitalized. It’s an acronymn for “Taxed Enough Already.”
Second, there is no such thing as being a member of the “TEA Party.” The TEA Party is a political philosophy of small, accountable, constitutional government. You don’t have to join anything, just hold these or similar beliefs, and vote for a candidate who closely resembles these beliefs, if you can find one.
Third, why should we believe Rasmussen’s polling on anything? 8 per cent my a$$. After Rasmussen’s messed up polling in the last election, I take his polls with a grain of salt.
As for Chris Christie, I wouldn’t vote for that fake republican if you paid me.
Christie won’t fit on a ballot....
Nothing can save the GOP (aka Government’s Other Party)
an old soviet was asked in an interview what he thought the difference between the west and east was.
“in america, man exploits man. in ussr, it’s other way ‘round.”
In America, you take vacation. IN SOVIET UNION, VACATION TAKES YOU!
