Why Chris Christie won’t win the presidency in 2016
The Daily Caller ^ | January 12, 2013 | Christopher Bedford

Posted on 01/13/2013 5:44:49 AM PST by libstripper

In the early, and later, days of the 2012 Republican primary, a steady stream of pundits kept a slow but steady chant of “Christie, Christie, Christie” humming along in the background, daring the popular Republican governor of a Democratic state to step up to the plate and run for national office. And though he played coy with his supporters, sending proxy messages while insisting that he was devoted to his work at home, the don of Jersey never took the final step, settling instead for a national role as a prominent Romney surrogate.

That was then, and to be honest, we liked the bombastic belligerent. He took on powerful and entrenched interests in his state, met fire with brimstone and appeared unafraid of any fight with any man. But since that day, we’ve seen a couple more press conferences, a few more temper tantrums and a lot more of Mr. Christie. Through it all, one thing has become clear: Mr. Christie will not be the Republican nominee for president in 2016.

Bedford does a great job of ripping Christie a new one. Indeed, Christie's done a great job of uniting pubbibes who frequently disagree with each other on one point: NO Christie in 2016.

Whomever the leftwing MSM is pushing no and in the primaries for 2016 is the biggest RINO.

MSNBC and their ilk will tote Christie and Jeb as the best choice - and therefor the worst choice for America, not to mention unacceptable to Conservatives.

The MSM and cross-over Democrats have done a spectacular job of selecting the GOP’s candidate. Bob Dole, John McCain, and Mitt Romney. The MSM calls them the “front-runner” long before they’re the front runner. It calls them middle-of-the-road. It calls the others extremists or right-wing. Before we know it, we have a candidate that not one real conservative would want. Then, the MSM turns on them and pulls for the “centrist Democrat.” We are a nation of truck-stop waitresses.

Many people, including me, believe that Christie betrayed them. I hope he doesn’t mess up the waters by trying to be the Republican candidate.

Because not enough conservatives will vote for him.

Millions who sucked it up and voted for Dubya in 2000 sat it out in 2004. Millions of them sat it out in 2008 and refused to vote for Mccain. Those who did vote for him were not enough, and millions who voted for McCain refused to vote for Romney. Millions of us who sucked it up and voted for Romney will sit out 2016 if Christy Creme runs.

Its a vicious cycle, but I will NOT vote for Christy under any circumstances.

Christie’s Convention speech did it for me. Instead of praising , building up Romney it was me, me, me.
plus
Presidential elections are in large part ‘beauty’ contests. His size? Not a chance.

The key for the 2016 primary is for conservatives to unite quickly behind ONE candidate and stick with them.

We control the primary process if we do not splinter our support.

I’m banking that Christie won’t be the candidate, or hoping such. It’d tough to support him but I’d never vote for a Democrat. Hopefully conservatives will choose a candidate who will really be a conservative.

Unless the Republican Party suddenly finds a crane to pull its collective head out of its *)(**&, then we are going to have the same result in 2016. The “conservatives” have gotten so stupid they cannot even hold a credible primary.

So with Christie out, who will the Democrats nominate?

(oh wait, the author isn’t foolish enough to think Christie will still be Republican by 2016 did he?)

Yes. He is also too fat to win as a Republican.

That will be key, depending on what choices we have.
With hitlery already starting with the “poor hitlery overcoming mean men” campaign, we better have a damn good one.
