Americans Buy Enough Guns in Last Two Months to Outfit the Entire Chinese and Indian Armies

The Obama Administration is the number one threat to the nation’s gun rights advocates. In the four years since Barack Obama was first elected president in November 2008, an estimated 67 million firearms have been purchased in the United States. In November a record 2 million guns were sold in America. This was followed up by another record in December. 2.7 million guns were sold in America in the last month of 2012.

Honest Americans Bought Enough Guns in November and December to Outfit the Entire Chinese and Indian Armies

In November a record 2 million guns were sold in America. This was followed up by another record in December. 2.7 million guns were sold in America in the last month of 2012.

-snip-

To put this in perspective. Chinese and Indian Standing Army Numbers:

China

- There are 2.29 active members in the Chinese Army.

India

- There are 1.13 active members in the Indian Army.

There were enough guns sold in the US in November and December to outfit each active member of the Chinese and Indian armies with a brand new gun.

  1. If there were "about 300 million" guns in the US in 2008, and 67 million have been sold since then. How many are there, really?
  2. If they are counting NICS background checks, and CCW license holders are exempt from NICS checks, then how many were really sold?
  3. Ruger sold something like 1.2M guns in 2012 alone. They were already behind before Sandy Hook.
Methinks that, in a pinch, we might find an enormous number of guns in the hands of our neighbors. Anyone hoping to disarm Americans will find that the Japanese were right. There is a gun behind every blade of grass.

Maybe I am surrounded by bitter clingers? This is a good sign. I would hate to live in an area where there is ample ammunition and firearms.

So, we’re utnumbering the Indians and Chinese armies?

Good, this is the general idea.

two of them were mine!

Four were mine, all US manufactured, and they aren't going to outfit any Chinese or Indian army members.

I had a friend lose them in a tragic wheat thresher incident.

Yeah, that happened to me too. It turned out I couldn't really go boating in a wheat thresher. Who knew?

Yep. So a revolution in Red China isn’t far fetched. Providing that the revolutionaries have access to the Black Market.

I just purchased a box of 9mm Luger ammo from our local Wal-Mart two hours ago. Another guy bought a box and when we left there was just one left. But on the subject of restocking, the clerk - who in an old guy that has been in Wal-Mart sporting goods for years — said ammo is not being restocked and is “on hold”. I didn’t think to ask if this meant every type or not. But he did tell a third guy that 22LR — which was out of stock — is not “on order”. Oh, yeah, I bought a box of .22 short and there was plenty of that.

Yeah, but we’re a little little light on heavy weapons. We need some RPGs, mortars, MANPADS, AGLs, and ATGMs.

1.I didn’t register to buy a newly registered gun.
2.Lots of boats and guns in Florida...
3.One doesn’t need to register metal finds on local beaches...

yeah, before my tragic boating accident I had just purchased one of those that shot both 410 and 45 ammo.

I was looking for a 410 (to teach my little girls to shoot) - I had heard SOME 410s can also shoot 45 cal. and when I saw one in the store I thought “you shall be mine”

Any one here up in reloading? 410 ammo is expensive. I dont know why since it is smaller and uses less of everything ( less mass production? )

I thought a 410 would be great for home defense because it won’t take out a structural wall like a 12 guage would

I’ll be selling my stash of .223 (3 dozen boxes) along with my Oly Arms AR15A2 and a dozen 20 and 30 round mags at the Puyallup gun show this weekend, to finance some time off
work to recover from chemo.

I’m sorry to hear that. I hope all will go well and you recover to shoot another day.

I would look at a Ruger SP101. I can’t operate a slide either. It is a hammerless five shot revolver so it won’t snag on clothing or on items in your purse. It has a five pound trigger pull. Capacity is five rounds of either 357 or you can also load .38 for less kick.

“I bought a Ruger 10/22 in .22 LR on Friday. I can’t find any ammo around here (I have plenty stockpiled) and finally found a spare magazine today but only the factory 10 round one.”

When you can, and they will be available, get the Ruger Factory BX-25 for your 10/22. They do not misfire, and work with all the 22 LR I have put through mine. Also, look for the Alangator™ TriMag™ Factory 10/22 Magazine Coupler
It joins three Ruger 10/22 factory magazines with its patent-pending three-way connector for lightning-fast reloads, easier handling and improved grip. It clamps the magazines together – no glue or adhesive needed. Tested by champion competition shooters. Made in USA.

These work great too, tying 3 10 rd mags together. http://reviews.cabelas.com/8815/230152/alangator-trimag-factory-10-22-magazine-coupler-reviews/reviews.htm

“She’s 68 with arthritis.”

Have her try 20 Mule Team Borax for the arthritis...buy it in the laundry section of the grocery store. Have her put a tablespoon or so in a small dish and keep it in her bathroom where it is easily accessible. She should like the tip of her index finger, stick it in the Borax, lick the Borax off...and do that 3 or 4 times a day.

Borax and expecially Boric acid are label as poisons. They are not. Borax is less poisonous than table salt. Borax also is great in the laundry, so she might find it beneficial there too.

“Just scanning the linked article, it looks like those are just the ones requiring background checks. I wonder what the total is.”

A very close friend of mine has six purchased in the past 18 months, and none required background check. I would guess that the real total is really, really huge. Understand, of course that many of the guns bought not requiring bg cks are not new. All the same, they have increased the supply and spread it out among many new owners.

And for what it is worth, none of these people are buying guns so that they will have something to offer in any kind of a ‘buy back’. Most of these people will not ‘register’, nor will they ever turn them in...these people are buying guns now to defend the 2nd Amendment and the Constitution against acts of tyranny...acts of tyranny that come from within...

The following is from Isaiah and is aprapo to the current situation...God is speaking through Isaiah...

WOE TO THE LEGISLATORS…

Woe to the legislators of infamous laws,
to those who issue tyrannical decrees,
who refuse justice to the unfortunate
and cheat the poor among my people of their rights,
who make widows their prey
and rob the orphan.
What will you do on the day of punishment,
when, from far off, destruction comes?
To whom will you run for help?
Where will you leave your riches?
Nothing for it byt to crouch with the captives
and to fall with the slain,
Yet his anger is not spent,
Still his hand is raised to strike.
Isaiah 10:1-4 (Jerusalem Bible)
