Why would anyone want to buy “made in China” ammo. If their quality control is like some of the other products we have heard about in recent years, I sure would not want to bet my life and safety on it.

I'm sure you're being facetious but the Remington and Winchester ammo I bought at Walmart today was all “Made in USA”. And actually Walmart has a lower percentage of Chinese-made goods overall than some other chains, surprisingly.

Friend of mine works in shipping. They send tons of ammo made in Russia to Wal Marts all over the East. The only secret here is that demand is through the roof and stores can't keep it in stock.

Back in the early 1990s, you actually could buy ChiCom ammo ... "Norinco" brand. The steel cased 7.62x39 was good stuff. The steel cased 7.62x25 Tokarev was reputed to be good stuff. The brass cased 9mm Luger was absolute dog crap: duds, blown primers, split cases ...

Then Slick Willy banned import of firearms and ammunition from Red China.
