Going to be interesting to see what happens once the Fudds find out that the law bans a lot of their precious duck hunting guns - it bars all semi-auto shotguns that have a FIXED magazine capacity of more than 7.

Many of them have 8 round tubes.

Some New Yorker ought to take a page out of Unintended Consequences:
Pay for a billboard that reads, “Cuomo’s Death Clock -(enter number here) murdered since anti-defense law signed.”

Why do lawful gun owners always have to bear the burden of crimes committed with guns?

The communists push is really part of the communists Democrats in NY. This push could be the beginning of an effort to defy the communists and might start a little war. Just how does this little King think he can enforce this idiotic plan. NY is in real trouble, and just might be the end of the communists Democratic jackasses. NY might wake up.

Well why would anyone need more than a couple of rounds to defend themselves? I don’t know how many times Ive heard this carp from liberals I know! I have started responding to them by pointing out just how many times our well trained police officers miss their target while shooting at a suspect and ask if we should mandate a return to LEO’s using revolvers, because by their logic a well trained police officer should never need more than six rounds to get the job done.

I wonder when the governor plans his next public appearance.
I would like to see how the general public reacts.
Applause,rotten fruit,or worse.

The expanded ban on assault weapons broadens the definition of such weapons, banning semiautomatic pistols and rifles with detachable magazines and one military-style feature, as well as semiautomatic shotguns with one military-style feature. New Yorkers who already own such guns can keep them but will be required to register them with the state.

I wonder how many "criminals" Cuomo just added with this new law. My guess is less than half of those weapons will be registered, even among those who are not felons or otherwise barred from owning firearms. I hope the numbers are FAR less. Some laws should be resisted - and refusal to obey is only one of the options for resisting this sort of grab for power. A secodn one is litigation, and I hope tens of thousands of New Yorkers will file lawsuits. This is clearly unconstitutional, and it needs to bog the system down until those in power admit that they overreached. Wealthy, productive, tax-paying New Yorkers could also leave, voting with their feet and their dollars. There are other options as well, but I will leave them to the imagination.

Does that mean that Cuomo won’t be walking around with those armed guards anymore..I mean after all, guns are “evil” right Andrew..so that means you shouldnt have armed guards..perhaps they can guard you with twinkies

I wonder if that is constitutional. I hope the NRA challenges the legality of some portions of this law.

The proper response to this piece of tyranny is “No,” but that message must be delivered by large numbers of people around the Capitol and the governor. If people just don’t register their long guns, then the authorities have achieved a dream of criminalizing a large number of law abiding citizens and can arrest them at any time.

We hear some talk of Seccession but are not THESE
states breaking with the constitution by the nature
of their actions? They are in fact leaving the US.

Just something to consider.

Take three rounds out of that seven round magazine.

I need to bury some magazines in my walls, that a lot of Sheetrock work I don’t have time for at present.
