Controversial reality show "All My Babies' Mamas" has been canceled by Oxygen after a Change.org petition against the one-hour special received 37,000 signatures. According to reports, Oxygen was planning to highlight Shawty Lo, an Atlanta-based rapper who has 11 children with 10 different women.
The show -- which was not being developed as a series, just as a one-time episode -- would have featured all of the women and children moving into one home together. According to an Oxygen press release, the show would "leave the man of the house to split his affection multiple ways while trying to create order" while the women would discover that "sharing your man with several opinionated women is bound to create issues."
No, really?
Petitioner Sabrina Lamb described it as a "one hour spectacle where 11 children are forced to witness their 10 unwed mothers clamor for financial support, emotional attention and sexual reward from Shawty-Lo, the apathetic 'father'." She asked consumers to "sign today to tell Oxygen that their viewers will not tolerate a show that exploits and stereotypes Black children and families, and we will boycott any advertiser who chooses to support the show."

I can’t even imagine how far into the realm of lunacy squared someone would have to be to even consider that any normal, or even semi-normal, person would think this was entertaining.

My wife and I raised six kids and some of my fondest memories are coming home and being smothered in love at the door by my children so happy to see me home...
What a perverted sick twisted idea this show is...using 11 children as props.... Abusing them emotionally, highlighting the sure to happen jealous, catching the raw emotion of a child that feels abandoned by adults...

No whorphans and dey mamas? Pity. The lamebrains at Oxygen should be collecting unemployment for even considering airing a show this base. As I said on another thread, I would not be sad if Shawty Lo woke up in a bathtub full of ice with a bandaid on his sac and a note advising him not to do any heavy lifting for a couple of weeks.
Does this mean they’ll be doing more shows about Octomom?
