Rhonda Hight was at a gun show with her husband but she wasnt looking for a gun, she was looking for a purse to carry one in. All they had was these little type, cheap bags that didnt have any design or anything like that she told KRMG news.
That made Rhonda think about a way to start a business and fill a need all at the same time. After a little checking around she found a line of bags and began talking to them I started giving them some feedback on what they dont have she said.
That led to more stylish bags and a new career for Rhonda who is now called The Bag Lady of Tulsa. Yes, Rhonda sells purses designed specifically for women to carry a gun in and sales are good Ive had really big success with them she began. Ive sold quite a bit of them, especially with all the talk of the Second Amendment.

I’m living proof that carrying your sidearm in anything that is not securely attached to your body is a bad idea. About 10 years ago I had a “daytimer” type gun case. Never thought I’d have a problem. After using it for over a year, one day I set it down on my very full grocery cart while I was loading my groceries into my vehicle, and then forgot it there. The store found it, called the police, who then called me to come back to the store. A very bad experience.
It was dumb, absent minded, and everything else. I was lucky not to lose my permit, not to mention being hauled down to the pokey, or (God forbid) be responsible for hurting or killing another person. It still makes me sick thinking about it.
Stay away from detached carry devices!
First thing ya know they will be manfucaturing “shoot through” bras. You gals be careful out there.....
With a little luck this might be an issue that finally convinces women that the Dems are not the way of the future. Something better, because the divide-and-conquer strategy worked wonders for President Foodstamps despite a horrible economy that nobody could ever expect success in.
Purse is a bad idea for carry. Too easily snatched. Its best concealed under your clothing or in a pocket holster, if you have a small
enough piece.
I’m working on designs for stylish concealed-carry clothing, but haven’t found a manufacturer yet.
That makes a lot of sense, who knows when, but the likelihood that it will eventually happen, is high.
If someone wants to carry a gun in a purse, that's their business, but I think it's a bad idea. You can't set the thing down unless you watch it all the time.
Two actually, Eagle Industries E&E bag and an Extreme Gear Labs Mojo bag.
It was not optimal for a fast draw in an imminent deadly force encounter, in my experience. I'll keep my gun on my belt.
YMMV.
I would REALLY suggest a gift certificate. For the highest priced one, but of course.
Purses are SO “personal”...
So? Carry a PURSE! :)
KIDDING!!!!!!!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogGBPVk5GQk This young lady conceals pretty darn well.
I’m with you on keeping the pistol on the belt ...
OTOH, Mrs. Bustard likes her pistol-purse ... so mileage does indeed vary.
Yes, I would imagine that belt/holster carry is more problematic with women and their clothing, as well as their size, like someone upthread mentioned.
