Have you been there? I can truly say you are correct. Brussels or Brugges... mmmm... fantastic, hundreds of varieties of real beer with flavor and different levels of potency and then the chocolates, mmmm... and then the waffles -- truly, no waffles are as good.... and then the belgian chips (fries) with mayonnaise...mmmmm... and then the restaurants on rue de boucher...
I think I just put on 5 lbs thinking of that!

If an American company could figure out how to do them, they’d make a fortune... with the caramelized crispy edges... you don’t even get syrup.
Chocolate from Wittamer in Brussels was unparalleled.
And yes Rue de Bouchers is great...but there are, once you live there.... other places that are AMAZING....
