Talk about your strained analogies . . . Tom Brokaw has analogized people unwilling support measures aimed at limiting gun violence to those during the 1960s who were unwilling to speak out againt the likes of Bull Connor.

The mantra is “No White president’s children having Secret Service protection was ever criticized”.

Since the regime, like one of Pavlov's mangy curs, has hit the race card, let us respond with the simple observation that, with the exception of the Arkie trailer trash Clinton, no white president has ever suggested confiscation of guns. But wait, Clinton himself has said that he was the first black president, so the exception is naught. And how do we know that Soetero has always intended to confiscate ALL firearms, - there are dozens of proofs but the main one is his endlessly repeated statement that he intends no such thing. Such words from a compulsive and not very bright liar prove the opposite.

Actually, the “civil rights” stampede of the ‘60s knocked down all sorts of civil rights such as freedom of association and brought Big Sis and her nanny nose into everything.

When we stopped teaching the Ten Commandments, among them “Thou shalt not murder.”, that’s when we started getting all of these mass murderers.

HA!! I wonder how many times Tom Brokaw has demonized Bill Clinton on viewing J. William Fulbright as his mentor!! In fact, I wonder how many times Tom Brokaw demonized Bill OR Hillary Clinton on anything. What a good Obama soldier! Good boy, Tom. Good boy.

He is just wrong. Gun violence has gone down 49% in the past 20 years. Why wasn’t BrokeJaw crying wolf back then?

Every perp in these shooting events had a history of a noticeable mental imbalance, obsessions and in most cases were on PRESCRIPTIONS.

Go back and read about Loughner...most of his history wasn't noted at the time.

Hasan was "singled out"...but MUSLIM PC prevented us from stopping him. The theatre guy had been "singled out"...and this Lanza...all you had to do was look at the group picture....

On August 7, 1964, a unanimous House of Representatives and all but two members of the Senate voted to approve the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution, which led to a dramatic escalation of the Vietnam War. Fulbright, who not only voted for, but sponsored, the resolution, would later write:

Many Senators who accepted the Gulf of Tonkin resolution without question might well not have done so had they foreseen that it would subsequently be interpreted as a sweeping Congressional endorsement for the conduct of a large-scale war in Asia.

Wow. If that doesn't sound a lot like Hillary Clinton's statements post-Iraq War Resolution votes.....

I’m all in favor of an honest discussion on guns and crime. For example, in Chicago, in 2011, only 1 murder was committed with a rifle. Does Tom want to discuss that? And in Chicago in 2011, roughly 75% of VICTIMS had a prior arrest record with the Chicago police. Does Tom want to discuss THAT? Perhaps he would like to discuss the racial aspects of crime - half of the murders and murderers are black. That number in Chicago is 75%. Is Tom talking about that?

For the life of me I can’t figure out why the media, virtually to a man, is opposed to the Bill of Rights. Do they imagine they’ll get to rule once government has all power, unopposed? Are they just hoping to be eaten last? Or is it just the natural filtering effect that anyone with natural intelligence and ability chooses a college major with substance and where work can be measured objectively, and the rest are left for urinalism?

The calls started this morning about the NRA ad. The mantra is “No White president’s children having Secret Service protection was ever criticized”. Actually the Bush girls were.

And he wasn't trying to screw over his employers by taking away their guns. Minor detail, I'm sure it's actually the difference in race that accounts for the reactions. [facepalm]

Where are the Republicans on all this gun confiscation. Where is the Speaker? Where is there ANY statements from the Republican Establishement there in Washington on this? Silence is consent? Get on the move and defend our Constitution! Defend our rights .... speak up on this power grab attempt.

"Silence On Gun Violence2nd Amendment violations Akin To Failing To Oppose Segregation in 60's"

Fixed it. 2nd Amendment violations, 14th Amendment violations - show me the legal difference, please, Mr. Brokaw.

Just one more reason why the old media is very close to our number 1 enemy. Never forget and remember their sponsors.
