I disagree w/Rush on the Fox All Stars...I think they are ALL so INSIDE the Beltway that the NRA ad (what they were discussing) hits too close to home. They probably ALL send their kidlets to a Sidell Friends type school. So ranting on the guards at SF would be problematic for them.

When I was in the Soviet Union in the late 70s, the main way that political dissent was dealt with was not to use the criminal code because sentences were limited. THey used the commitment for mental health reasons to indefinite detention in mental health institutions. After all, if you were crazy enough to disagree with the state sponsored policy, then you were crazy in the clinical sense as well. They then had a state psychiatrist commit you to a facility indefinitely.

A national database for mental illness can be used for similar efforts in times which could be not far off from today.
