Gun control is back. President Obama on Wednesday unveiled a series of feel-good measures designed to play on the emotions of Americans saddened by the horrific shooting of 20 students at Sandy Hook Elementary School last month. Almost nothing he proposes to do would make anyone safer.
Surrounding himself with children, Mr. Obama said, “This will be difficult. There will be pundits and politicians and special-interest lobbyists publicly warning of a tyrannical, all-out assault on liberty — not because that’s true, but because they want to gin up fear or higher ratings or revenue for themselves.”
The president said that he would go around Congress by taking 23 executive actions. He signed a handful as soon as the news conference ended, and one of the upcoming proclamations will order Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. “to review categories of individuals prohibited from having a gun” to determine if those categories need to be expanded. Mr. Holder’s agency is hardly the model for gun safety, considering it came up with the Operation Fast and Furious program to run guns to Mexican drug cartels.
The National Rifle Association responded with a campaign to fight back against gun-free zones. “Everything in his statement was either about limiting gun rights or giving himself a fig leaf while he does so,” NRA President David Keene told The Washington Times. “It wasn’t so much about protecting our children as it was about using our concern for their safety to push an ideological agenda.”
Mr. Obama was silent throughout his first term on gun control.

If GWB had ever tried to use staged props & human shields behind every one of his signatures, the media & demoRATs would be screaming & outraged after every one. This statement needs to be analyzed appropriately.
Obama uses children to create a fatherly atmosphere. (Like other tyrants of the past).
He then reminds his followers that the opposition will cause them all much difficulty. (Like other tyrants do).
Then, he uses a reverse method endorsed by his mentor Saul Alinsky by saying what he is actually doing but claiming that the "other side" (meaning his enemies) are really the ones who want to "gin up fear."
All the while giving the impression that he is only the kindly father looking out for the good of the little children.
The reality is that he accuses a portion of America of being the tyrants, while he is one.
Agreed. She is patriotic, literate, sensible, and cute as can be. And she looks comfortable with that rifle. Or as 95% of the journalists would describe it:
"That redneck woman is brandishing a high-caliber 12 gauge AK-47 semi-automatic Glock pump action high-capacity assault revolver. If that thing has a bayonet lug and a threaded barrel, then I'm even more scared. I need a latte and my mommy!"
The children represent the zer0 information public. The zer0 information public has been indoctrinated by our government schools and our state owned media how to think. The state worker’s unions also extend the indoctrination to the worker, just in case they stray off the farm. The children are the zer0 information public in the beginning stages of this indoctrination process.
Once fully indoctrinated, The zer0 information public will not listen to anything that challenges their world view. Their minds are set—locked and loaded. They will not listen to Talk Radio or watch Fox News because their ideas are set by the indoctrination locked in their bigoted minds. This gives them more time to seek life’s pleasures, watch American Idol and listen to music on their Smart Phones. Do not talk politics with them because their minds are set.
This is the same public that wants their morons of public service to take away cigarettes (because they stink), fireworks (because they make loud noises), 32 oz Slushies (because they don’t like to see fat people), the Constitution (because it is too old fashioned) and automobiles (because they cause Global Warming).
The Dems are ever so willing to cater to the legions of indoctrinated busy body nitpickers with policies that panders to their fantasy world (learned from the government schools) on the Unicorn Farm. By doing so, these morons of public service do one more thing: They punch the ticket of the Marxist agenda that is shaping public opinion through the state owned media as the Obama Syndicate orchestrates the dismantling of America’s freedoms.
