NEW YORK (WABC) -- It appears someone forgot to exempt police officers from the ban of ammunition clips with more than 7 bullets in New York State's new gun control law.
It's a big oversight that apparently happened in the haste by the Cuomo Administration to get a tough package of gun-control measures signed into law.
On Tuesday, Governor Andrew Cuomo signed the sweeping gun measure, the nation's toughest. It includes a ban on the possession of high-capacity magazines.

A completely natural omission for a crew long accustomed to the idea that ONLY little people need to obey the law.
This glaringly points to their values —which shows WHY we need the really “scary” guns in particular.

Are there any semi automatics that have clips that are only for 7 bullets? My XD .45acp holds 13 in a clip.

1911 has a 7 round magazine, and the officers model holds 6.
And the dumbass lawmakers still won’t recognize the idiocy of knee jerk reactions.
Its why our founders set up a form of government that works at a snail’s pace.
I think my stepdad’s old 1911 had a 7 round clip for 45acp if I’m not mistaken.

Why do the police need more than 7 rounds? 7 is enough for the common man & the police are supposed to be better trained than us.

If you think about it, what he's saying is you can't give more rounds to the law abiding. The criminals aren't going to respect the magazine size limit, so his argument is complete nonsense.
He wants to criminalize anybody who carries more rounds than the police do, regardless of the intention of the person who "can outgun" the police. Very common "us vs. them" attitude.
Why would cops be exempt? Their lives are no more precious than anybody else’s.
That "spray and pray" crowd may now have to get in some range time.
According to that Democrat pig Jarrold Nadler, “citizens” don’t need more than two or four rounds.
If true, then the “professionals” at the NYPD, etc., should need even less. Why exempt them from the requirement?
Oh yeah, that’s right. Most of ‘em can’t hit the broad side of a barn.
