I think if conservatives would take the stand to repeal the Patriot Act, this gun control attempt would fade away.
Americans hate hypocrisy. So far I haven’t seen any evidence that regular Americans didn’t get the message. What we have is a ruling class outraged it got caught in a double standard.
Reasons for using a gun:
1] shoot animals
2] shoot muggers
3] shoot government agents
The first two are not questioned. It’s the third that is questioned in this age as impractical or sloping toward a banana republic instead of a more perfect democracy.
