I don't see your point. The Sopranos didn't glorify their immorality nor did the show attempt to subvert "right & wrong". I know of no one who watched that show who wanted to go out and be a Jersey Crime Boss afterwards.
But then you have this Dunham-Whore's show that glorifies whoring oneself out constantly and using her the most sacred aspects of her femininity as if they are disposable toothpicks.
You're comparison is weak. Dunham would probably be fine with her show being on right after Dora the Explorer if it could.....let all the 6 year old "women" know how they should be living their lives.

Oh good grief. They were completely different shows. Of course the influences won’t be the same. (But please, don’t tell me that there weren’t fan boys who acted like they were in the mafia. Sure, most guys wouldn't be complaining if two things were different:
1. They used at least moderately attractive women
