Corrupt Hudson County shout-out from Kearny; when I was younger our police chief and mayor went to prison.
Now my town increasingly resembles West New York (though the buildings aren’t as tall). Why does Hudson County get the dumbest names for its towns (West New York, North Bergen, East Newark, Union City)?
West New York, along with North Bergen, are major Cuban enclaves in Hudson County. And they HATE Castro! I should know, a girl I dated while in college was from WNY and wanted to shoot Castro when he came to the UN in 1977.
Somebody please tell me WHY in the ^&$* My TAX MONEY should goto this STATE for Disaster Relief?? Maybe GOD brought Sandy for a Reason, and Who are We to argue with GOD??

In the 20 posts since you posted this clarification by that towns mayor. Only 2 refered to it. The rest... draw your own conclusions. FR used to be a place where opinions were valued.... not so much anymore
