French homosexuals demonstrate against same-sex ‘marriage’

Perhaps as many as a million people marched in Paris last Sunday and at French embassies around the world against proposed legislation that would legalize same-sex marriage in France. One of the surprises in the French campaign for traditional marriage is that homosexuals have joined pro-family leaders and activists in the effort.

“The rights of children trump the right to children,” was the catchphrase of protesters like Jean-Marc, a French mayor -- who is also homosexual.

Even though France is known for its laissez faire attitude toward sex, pro-family leaders were quick to organize huge numbers. When President Hollande announced his intentions to legalize homosexual marriage last November, a demonstration against the proposal gathered 100,000 protesters. And then what started as a debate about homosexual rights changed to one about a child’s right to a mother and a father, and the numbers in opposition exploded and has come to include unlikely allies.

Xavier Bongibault, an atheist homosexual, is a prominent spokesman against the bill. “In France, marriage is not designed to protect the love between two people. French marriage is specifically designed to provide children with families,” he said in an interview. “[T]he most serious study done so far...demonstrates quite clearly that a child has trouble being raised by gay parents.”

Jean Marc, who has lived with a man for 20 years, insists, “The LGBT movement that speaks out in the media...They don’t speak for me. As a society we should not be encouraging this. It’s not biologically natural.”

Outraged by the bill, 66 year-old Jean-Dominique Bunel, a specialist in humanitarian law who has done relief work in war-torn areas, told Le Figaro he “was raised by two women” and that he “suffered from the lack of a father, a daily presence, a character and a properly masculine example,

Heh. If we had more guys like willing to speak out, we wouldn't be losing so much ground to the left on this issue. As it stands, they've unfortunately brainwashed much of the public into thinking the "only" reason anyone would oppose gay marriage is they're Christian fundamentalists who intrepret the Bible literally and/or nasty bigots who "hate" gay people and WANT gays to suffer.

Personally, I don't know how anyone my age (I'm in my early 30s) can believe two guys having butt sex is a "civil right" that entitles them to call their clearly abnormal sex life a "marriage", but the media would have us believe tons of people are buying that BS. Impy's right, go back in time to even in the mid 90s when I was in H.S., and NOBODY believed that. We had a social studies teacher in H.S. who played devil's advocate about gays in the military during the Clinton era, and the class was overwhelming against when I grew up in the Chicago 'burbs.

I think a lot of gays probably actually realize in the back of their heads that promoting this crap will wreak havok to society, but simply don't care because their personal desire to have everyone "accept" their sexual needs comes first in their mind. I've even talked to many gays, including the ones FOR gay marriage, who have conceded that you CANNOT let anyone "in love" call their relationship a "marriage" and that we "have to draw the line somewhere" because society would break down if it was suddenly socially acceptable to marry your sister and so on.

The trouble with guys like this is they're probably AFRAID to speak out for the same reason so many blacks won't openly campaign against Obama, even if they vote against him. The guys are already ostracized as it is from the mainstream, exposing the truth about gay marriage will cause their "fellow gays" to viciously attack them and they feel that's the only friends they have.

This dude's not alone, though. Note what Rubert Everett, who's another openly gay liberal actor, recently admitted about the issue:

On gay adoption:
“I can’t think of anything worse than being brought up by two gay dads. For me, personally, the last thing I would like in the entire world would be to go through [that process] with my boyfriend and finding some grim couple in Ohio who are gluten-free and who you pay $75,000 to have your baby”

On gay marriage:
“Why do we want to get married in churches? I don't understand that, myself, personally…it's grotesque. It's just hideous. The wedding cake, the party, the champagne, the inevitable divorce two years later. It's just a waste of time in the heterosexual world, and in the homosexual world I find it personally beyond tragic that we want to ape this institution”

Brilliant. The French have always had a high tolerance for infidelity, and placed their value on the mother and father staying together for their children. This position by gays that children deserve traditional marriage is a logical outgrowth.

The article also points out that France has permitted civil marriage between homosexuals for over a decade. That should be enough, but in this country of buck-seeking "rights" lawyers, oh noooooo.

From what I can see, these French homosexuals who have spoken up recognize that they are not natural, and will never be, by the very definition of the word ‘natural’.

I believe the gentleman's use of the word "natural" referred to gay marriage, not to homosexuality per se. All of nature contains outlying elements and manifestations. A certain number of homosexuals occur in nature. He meant that it is gay parenting that is not "natural", since it requires a third or fourth party into the relationship, and forces children to grow up without one or both natural parents and role models.

Since creating a stable union as parents is the major purpose of marriage and societal organization, there is no purpose served for gays to become, at best, half parents; in fact, it creates harm for children in such faux arrangements.

Nor are same-sex relationships "normal", a norm being something the great majority of entities engage in.

And if a large number of homosexuals objected to the “Gay Pride” crapola, how come we never hear of their objections?

Groups that organize around wickedness always try to enforce membership by persecuting those who try to leave. Look at Scientology, for one contemporary example. The Mafia is another -- leaving can get you whacked. There was a recent flap over a black sportscaster calling a black player a "cornball brother who is not down with the struggle." Successful blacks (presumably not struggling) like Condoleezza Rice and Alan West are routinely vilified by "colorists." And gay people have the same situation -- if they try to leave the plantation, their friends try to shame them.

I, a woman, was having dinner with a gay male business associate one evening, when an acquaintance of his came by the table and snarked, "Oh, Michael, I didn't know you were a lesbian." In other words, his being gay had to be absolute. His dining with a woman had to be a manifestation of homosexuality, not of genderblind friendship.

All fallen souls have grievous flaws of one kind or another; but the human life is meant for changing our fallen nature and becoming the loving servant of God we are meant to be. It’s simple. Not easy, but simple.

Beautiful! Amen!

I once met a formerly homosexual man who had gotten married to a woman and had kids, mainly due to his strong Christian upbringing. He wasn’t ‘shackled’ or ‘oppressed’ as liberals would have many believe. He was very happy with where he was in life.

Having worked in the arts for decades, I knew many homosexuals. When the AIDS epidemic hit in the 80s, I witnessed a slew of them leaving the life, getting married, having kids and making it work. Few of them even were concerned with religion; they were concerned with dodging the bullet and surviving. Seeing these events convinced me that, at least for many, being gay is hugely psychological, not genetic.

Yes, and you bring up an interesting point that I’d never considered before (has ANYONE?), and that is that ANY contract is what you make of it, and ANY two people, M/M,
F/F, or whatever, can agree to enter into a contract of their own crafting , spelling out whatever their needs, expectations and fiduciary requirements are between themselves. What is to prevent this? It may look like a mere
business relationship, but that is indeed what bad marriages devolve into, anyway, between the traditionally “married”.
Is that so far afield?

France remains, despite the degeneration of the family and marriage on the left, a center right country.
The French may have a laissez-faire attitude about people’s private behavior, and around 50% are not opposed to same sex marriage in and of itself. BUT, the overwhelming majority is opposed to gay adoption, and artificial procreation (paid for by the government).
The socialist President, François Hollande, who is dropping like a lead balloon in the polls- now at 35%, included the artificial procreation elements into his new law. This is what brought out hundreds of thousands into the streets, in the largest demonstrations in France in 30 years.
The kicker is that the idiot Hollande, who refuses to marry his live in girlfriend, the despised Valérie Trierweiler, aka Le Rotweiler, and refused to marry his mistress of 30 years, and mother of his four children, Ségolène Royal. Monsieur President Normal gas states he does not believe in marriage- it is a bourgeois institution!
What the Right in France (UMP) is demanding is a referendum on the law, which of course Hollande would lose.
So called “right winger” Marine le Pen refused to join the demonstrations and refused to condemn the proposed gay marriage law!
Pauvre France!

exactly, staying silent has only helped their agenda and it;s about time for our side on here talk show hosts or others to speak up the hell up and stop leeting them pushing this radical agenda.

People will be surprised when they speak up and find out that most do agree with them as I have found out.

I remember one woman saying her boss was married to which I replied no she is not, our state it;s a man and a woman.

She admitted she had not thought of it looked like that and she had only repeated what she had been told.

I do believe you’re right. The massive support for fagdom is invented by the elties and the media prostitutes.

The sleeping giant is awakening, and hopefully will throw of all the leftist/muzzie/progressive chains. And the fagdom agenda is one of those chains.

I guess our Dear Leader hasn’t been following the French news and the fate of his Socialist, gay marriage supporting fellow President, Hollande. Proclaiming his commitment to gay marriage at the inauguration, how long will it be until we get a shout out “I’m gay and I’m proud?”

The dirty secret of the gay marriage movement is as this French guy says is that at least half of gays , probably more (at least of the males), want no part of ever getting married.

They enjoy promiscuous butt secks and think the idea of marriage is out dated in general and certainly not for them, we “breeders” can keep it. You’ve possibly heard the “word” heteronormative (my spell check never heard of it), that’s what (many) of them think of marriage. Only some of them want to pretend to be normal and have families.

Some proponents even favor (along with some libertarians) actually abolishing marriage but as long as it exists they want to be “equal” (even though they are, they can marry opposite sex people). I heard 2 hardcore gay activists say that on TV.

Pro-gay attitude seems to be very prevalent among the young (Whites at least) now even though they will still call people “faggot” as a general insult and will swear up and down that they are 100% straight themselves, it’s an amusing dichotomy.

I would blame TV and the twitter feeds of all their favorite celebritards. They all watch that d-bag Jon Stewart and think he’s giving them the news.

I was posting on a sports forum the other day and made a comment against gun control and some idiot said to another idiot “I bet that person (me) thinks denying gay marriage doesn’t violate people’s rights but limiting the number bullets a gun can have is”.

After asking why bring they would bring up gays into a topic that has nothing to do with them I asked them how many bullets Obama’s secret service guards are allowed to have.

I believe it is mostly soft support however. When they have kids I bet they sure as shite won’t want THEM to be gay. And they won’t have time for liberal causes celebre like gays. I hope so at least, things look grim now in many states.

There are also soft opponents of gay marriage that fall prey to the left’s effective attempts at shaming people for being “anti-gay”, many more still just don’t care.

You hear about gays so much in the media now that you’d think they were like 15% of the population instead of a third of that, which appears to be the real number.

I have a great comment I’m saving for when our state inevitably legalizes gay marriage.
