Defense contractors are getting hit now. I lost two guys today.
Massachusetts: Death Place Of Liberty
How do they define it?
You may end up with no ammo for your grandfather's old 30/30.
Well we know now what states the criminals will be doing thier business. Sadly the elitist politicians and thier families will be protected while the pee-ons will be restricted. Open season I would say! no? And the dopes who vote these idiots in continue to cut off thier nose inspite of thier face and get led to the slaughter, happily.
“Reduce access to high-powered rounds of ammunition.”
What in the wide, wide world of sports does THAT mean? No 62gr .223? Only the 55? No hollowpoints? Only ball ammo for handguns (or semi wadcutters)?
The arrogance of the liberals knows no limits. We must stand firm on this attack on liberty; just as we must stand firm on the debt crisis, the pending immigration ‘reform’, and stopping the insidious march of 0bama’a signature achievement (0bamacare).
When Papa Doc Obama starts handing out the cash, Baby Doc Deval is first at the trough.
Conservatives are always welcome in the heartland. I just hope the people that move from liberal states don’t vote the same way as they did in their previous homes. That happens a lot, and I don’t get it. Isn’t that what they wanted to escape?
Texas and OK are great states! Yes, we have tornadoes, but it makes life more interesting. Buy a home with a storm shelter. If you can afford to be away from the big cities, try the hill country of Texas. College Station is a wonderful town - home of the Aggies! Louisiana has been moving in a more conservative direction of late, and the people there are very nice.
If heat, bugs, allergies, and tornadoes aren’t appealing, you could consider the “tundra” - Nebraska, the Dakotas, etc. The mountain states are beautiful but have been infected with liberals, particularly enviro-whackos.
I would certainly get out of the northeast if at all possible. Too bad we can’t send MA a bunch of the gang bangers that came our of New Orleans after Katrina. The people of MA might begin to understand the value of being able to protect themselves and their families.
“What’s left?”
Oklahoma; Louisiana is getting better; Nebraska; the Dakotas; Kansas and Missouri are possibilities, but not as conservative as the others. The western half of Iowa.
Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming are also pretty good if you can ignore the rich enviro-whackos.
Indiana used to be pretty conservative, but I don’t know how it is now.
Too bad about the festering boil known as Detroit. ;-)
Actually there is a lot of corporate land buying going on in Detroit including a serious move to buy Belle Isle to turn it into a tax free territory for corporations buying up the land on both shores of the river.
Detroit is no more Michigan than Austin is Texas.
Unfortunately, people from those states move into our areas and bring with them their political beliefs.
They flee the crime and corruption and the “rat race” and they are too numb to understand that it was their liberal beliefs and the politicians that they elected that created the situation that they are fleeing.
Agreed. They should get their butts out of there. If they can leave and don't, they know what they'll get and one would have a hard time ginning up any sympathy for them.
It seems that on FR Texas is the number-one recommended destination. But what's wrong with the Deep South? Those states are just as conservative and do not have the immigration problem that Texas does.
Also, IMHO they have better weather.
“I am very pleased to hear of this additional funding to the Department of Mental Health...
So I can hire more unemployable relatives and contributors to no-show jobs”
But I lived in Alabama for five years -- and I've got to tell you, I've also lived in Michigan and seen 30 below, yet I've never been so cold as I've been in Alabama at 40 degrees.
Working on an orchard floor in the damp chill was, literally, bone-chilling -- even with quilted overalls. It would take at least an hour back home, in front of the fireplace, to "warm your innards".
And a 95 degree day at 80% humidity might be even worse.
Give me "high and dry" any day...
I was in the Central High Lands in 1966. I froze mt A$$ off during the Winter Monsoon. Temperature around 40 Degrees.
I live in New England, NH, and it gets real cold up here and it never bothered me. Must be the hot summers.
“Detroit is no more Michigan than Austin is Texas.”
Just poking a little fun at MI. All states have their burdens to bear. :-)
I suggest a new motto for Detroit.
Detroit, at least we’re not Chicago
Who defines "high-powered"?
I am beyond p!$$ed about this.
Here is the letter I just sent to my rep and senator in MA:
