The proposed legislation doesn't have any language amending the current laws conserning tubular magazines (.22 mostly). Shotguns and 5 to 6 round 30-30 tubular magazined carbines are already compliant.
As I read it, the new legislation affects handguns and AR type platforms. Thus, the magazine is the issue since neither of these two classes can hold anything more than 1 round without a magazine. Therefore, no class of weapons is banned.
