Picking the Right Fight

I keep hearing how "This is the wrong time - we have to pick our battles".
I am sick of it!

How long will they wait for the "right fight" to come along before they get engaged and actually fight!?

Even before the battles begin, Conservative hating Boner and his sniveling band of cowardly RINOs go into conferences trying to figure out how to smooch Obama’s narrow commie ass while making benighted GOP-e pundits like Krauthammer, Krystal and Goldberg say that they are doing the smart thing.

We gotta TEA Party BIG TIME next year or the 2nd Amendment is all we have left!!!

Picking the Right Fight

The list is becoming longer all the time. Picking the right fight isn't the real issue these days. The issue, IMHO is we have so few elected 'R' Pol's that are not willing to stand up and fight for those who put them into office. Too many are cowards afraid to rock Obamas boat, afraid they will be called out and made fun of, afraid they won't get invited to WH dinners and other pol functions. Screw Obama and his merry band of thugs and their bullying tactics.

And the Republicans are wondering why they have so few supporters anymore. Old saying applies here, "No guts, no glory".

They haven’t been picking any fights. They’ve been on a purely defensive footing for so long that they think not being in the fetal position is an aggressive stance.

Once again no faith in the American people. OK Congressional pubbies this is really simple. No debt ceiling increase until the Paul Mac Penny Plan is implemented. You need to have something simple, fair, effective, and easily explained to the America people. And this is it. Anyone who attacked this approach could be ridiculed into oblivion. Add the element of continuous process improvement and apply it to the federal government to eliminate waste fraud and abuse and you have a win-win. Shame them. Every minute you delay places our republic closer to utter destruction. What in God's name are you pubbies waiting for?

We only have the House. Without the Senate we are helpless. Don’t you get it?

You are exactly right. Those who want to raise the debt ceiling assume the country has an never stopping flow of money.

Totally agree. Just BRING IT ON....Let the media have a hay day like they did with the Wall Street protest groups as this will bring from the shadows those who are just sitting at home watching OWN and collecting their Food Stamps, Section 8 Housing, Child Subsidies, etc. benefits and living large! Let’s REALLY see IF conservative’s statements about unemployment hovering around 11% or more are true!

We will be worse than Europe rioting!

The PR battle over the debt limit was lost with low information voters 2 years ago. With the MSM backing Obama, fighting that battle again would result in the same loss.

The article suggests that the Continuing Resolution is the right place to fight. Since 60% of even low information voters agree that cuts should be made, the House Republicans appear to have a stronger hand here.

The House Republicans appear to believe that the right place to fight is over the FY14 budget. That is why they say they passed a bill to raise the debt ceiling for 3 months, with the condition that the FY14 budget must be passed or Congressional salaries will be held up.

I agree that the Republicans would have a better chance of winning either of these two battles with the low information voters ... but I am not going to hold my breath waiting for them to win, either.

- Come on, kid. Get in there. Engage.

- You’ve got a bogey at two o’clock.

Take the shot, kid.

You can engage any time, Maverick.

- Where the hell are you going?

- It doesn’t look good.

What do you mean? It doesn’t get

to look any better than that.

Hey, man. We could have had him...

I’ll fire when I’m damn

good and ready. You got that?

- He won’t engage.

- It’s only been a few days.

- He just might not make it back.

- Keep sending him up.

The GOP will not fight for anything until they control the White Hut, the House, AND the Senate. Then they will wage war on liberalism (maybe).

I get it Kas. I respectfully disagree. We are not helpless. We simply need to sell it and put the heat on the dims. We can do it with Penney Plan. The American people will support it. But nothing happens if we don’t have the spine to promulgate and defend the position and then force the implementation by withholding further funding until we move down the path fiscal responsibility. If we don’t start fighting the pubbies are finished as they are loosing their real supporters in droves. And they are close to loosing me and I am a life long pubbie since 1964. So I kinda consider myself a pubbie.

Leftest propaganda from Town Hall. Let just keep upping the Federal deficit until the Dollar and the economy are destroyed. Let keep obligating the Young and the unborn to a ball and chains. This so that the Takers can Take a bit longer from those who only give. This is the most selfish Generation that ever existed.

Ain't that the truth? I know that I'm considering my options -- and, like you, I've been GOP since Goldwater.

In fact, all those polls that claim the Republicans are losing ground and are "out of touch" are basically reflecting the Republican base! It's not "the country" they're losing, it's their own voters!

But, fools that they are, they're talking themselves into "moving toward the middle" in order to gain support from "moderates".

"Stupid Party", indeed.
