A 5-year-old Pennsylvania girl who told another girl she was going to shoot her with a pink Hello Kitty toy gun that blows soapy bubbles has been suspended from kindergarten.
Her family has hired an attorney to fight the punishment, which initially was 10 days for issuing a 'terroristic threat.' But her punishment was reduced to two days after her mother met with school officials and had the incident dropped to 'threatening to harm another student,' which apparently carries a lesser punishment.

It is truly incredible. Do a keyword search in FR on "zerotolerance" and you'll get hundreds of hits. These atrocities are happening all over the country--in urban and rural schools, "inner city" slums and swanky suburbs, and in "red" as well as "blue" states. And the morons perpetrating these outrages are not ignorant--each one, virtually to a man, holds an advanced degree.
That’s what the teacher’s desk drawer is for. If you have to suspend a five year old you shouldn’t be teaching, you should be licking envelopes for a living.

Until now I didn’t realize how cool Hello Kitty is.
Do teachers and school administrators before graduating from college take a class in how to suppress native common sense and substite it with blind fear? Is it called Mindless Fanaticism 101?

We went through this ~ our kid was a bit older but the principal and vice principal went through their bully routine so I CALLED IN THE COPS. Took the officials a few moments to have it sink in I was making some criminal charges against them.
In the end I got rid of the principal. The VP took a little longer but we were dealing with a 'she' and one day she poked her finger in my chest ~ and that was the end of her career.
Find your targets and throw the book at them ~ whatever sticks will ruin their credit ratings at a minimum, and might get them fired, and you might possibly find a reason why they've got to be prosecuted.
That goes for abusive bosses, crazy school teachers, bully boy school administrators, stupid coaches, vicious neighbors ~ whatever. You don't have to stand there and take it from anybody ~ and you have a fundamental responsibility to defend your kids against the idiots!
Didn't have to shoot any of them, no matter how much they deserved it. Leave that to the police.

Parents who love their children need to get them out of the government schools TODAY. Sacrifice. Do whatever it takes. But keep kids far, far away from the government schools. Pray for America.

It's an agenda on their part; to take the fight out of kids and make them compliant dolts for the overlords. Good for you, pointing out the need to fight back and teach your kids not to just be a whimpering pawn. I've also fought back against idiot principals and teachers for my kid's sake. Got satisfaction in a principal's office when I threw down a complaint drawn up on legal paper ready for a lawsuit against a teacher. The teacher was redfaced but the principal told him to shut up, and he was removed from teaching the class. You have to fight back any way you can against tyranny. Now my kids are grown up, and they're passing on the will to fight to my grandkids.

That teaches me to read more carefully - did not pick up that no “gun” pink or not was found and they punished the little 5 year old girl on her words alone. The whole incident was handled very poorly!
