'Numerous' other bodies at Algeria plant (Drudge: All Hostages Dead)

Algerian bomb squads scouring a gas plant where Islamist militants took dozens of foreign workers hostage found "numerous" new bodies on Sunday as they searched for explosive traps left behind by the attackers, a security official said, a day after a bloody raid ended the four-day siege of the remote desert refinery.

The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the situation, said the bodies were badly disfigured and difficult to identify.

This plant is near the Libyan border.

This can be laid at the feet of the Powers/Rice/Clinton doctrine. They went into Libya for "humanitarian" reasons, but probably really to compete with Bush's victory in Iraq.

Now they've got our Ambassador killed and Al Queda spreading into Mali (which was peaceful) and Algeria.

They are trying to keep the US from taking a front-line role but the US is inevitably have to pick up the pace and fight yet ANOTHER war. Nice work girls.

The minarets got established during the Zapatero government, which like any radical leftist government, loved Islam. There’s starting to be a pushback, though, and even extremely leftist and heavily Muslim infiltrated places like Catalonia are denying permits and having neighborhood anti-mosque demonstrations.

But I think it may be too late, and in addition, neither France nor Spain is going to get any support from us in fighting the Muslims.

Maybe but I prefer we save the USA by getting out of the Middle East, and start putting the USA economy, reducing our debt and rebuilding what is quickly becoming our third world nation.

I don’t have the solutions but one thing we DO NOT NEED is another multi trillion dollar war. Let those in the ME take care of their own problems. We have more than enough of our own problems. I’m weary of hearing the push to another war. I have the sxxts of the Middle East. We don’t even need their oil.

The only thing for sure about the Middle East is we don’t know anything for sure. They are all scheming and putting forth disinformation.

I read an account yesterday that interviewed an Algerian hostage who said the terrorists hunted down some Americans and Brits and killed them right away.

Did any Americans survive?

The details are quite sketchy. I can tell you this; if this had happened under GW’s watch, the MSM would have been screaming out the death toll of Americans from the moment it was known and wouldn’t stop until the next election.

Thanks PapaBear3625. Probably Zero will blame this on Republicans and use it as another pretext to try to suspend the Second Amendment.

Except that some of the Benghazi survivors have made contact with the families of those who died. They are spies. They have careers. They have families. They have unfinished business. And some of them were significantly injured.

Blind sheik. Both are attempts for Obama to negotiate the release of the blind sheik....and failed attempts at that. Look for another AFRICOM terrorist attack soon demanding the release of the sheik.

Yep, Obowelmy has got his tit in a wringer and can’t reach the off switch with all of his “foreign policy” shenanigans.

My fuller understanding tells me that Obama will stand with the Muslims. Whenever the wind blows. Or something like that.

The whole Islamic world must be so afraid now that Secretary of State Clinton is recovered from her terrible injuries. She is so smart and so respected around the world that it is unthinkable that terrorist would be emboldened, especially now that President Obama has been reaffirmed for another 4 years. Terrorists must be quaking in fear. That must have been a myth that the American hostages were released by the Iranians as soon as Reagan was inaugurated after defeating Carter years ago. Thanks to Obama Americans are safe again.

We have bad people in our culture too... men who would do the same if they could get away with it. And that's the cultural difference. We condemn torture. Our culture - at least in the past - has had respect for the individual. The better parts of our culture are worth fighting for ...and yeah - we're better.

As far as the distribution of good and bad people in the world - it's probably closer than we'd like to think. But who's pushed forward to lead - and who winds up in prison are the differences we can thank our culture for... So far we've never had a pol pot, a Stalin or a Hitler. God willing we never will... We're culturally superior to most of the world and care about 'the good'... (with some exceptions - slavery was immoral - but we were one of the first cultures in the world to outlaw it. - how we treated the American Indians was shameful... but we tried to make up for it...Nixon was nuts... etc.)

I'm hedging here - but there are some interesting things about some Muslim cultures... not enough to offset the way they always choose thugs to run their countries...not enough to offset the anti semitism or the violence but some worth-while stuff... maybe some other time.

They never intended for any of the hostages to leave alive.

To #15 and others. These attacks throughout western Africa are definitely linked by both common goals and interlinked organizations. While the Algerian Al Qaeda/militants/Islamic terrorists have been carrying on a bloody war against the Algerian government, it is a fundamentalist, Taliban-like organization which MEANS that it automatically was seeking ties to like-minded jihadist groups in Africa, the Middle East and Asia Minor.

The same for those jihahists and Al Qaeda-linked groups i n Tunisia, Libya, Egypt/Sinai Peninsula, Syria, Morocco (the next major target), Mauritania (a secondary target), and other African countries with majority Moslem populations (including Chad, Niger, Nigeria, etc).

Mali was the number one target because it resembled Afghanistan and Somalia, a weak central government that had only a minute presence in the outerlands, was often corrupt or unskilled at nation ruling, and had a weak army.

The same applies to Yemen (where a bunch of Al Qaeda bombmakers apparently blew themselves up today by accident, aka the original Weather Underground Bombers in the Greenwich Village townhouse in March 1970).

Al Qaeda’s main leadership may have been decimated, but its’ 2nd Lieutenants and Majors have spread out, like a cancer, to infect other countries (per the above) and to unite similarly inclined Moslem extremist groups into an “Al Qaeda Affinity Network”.

The link of “affinity groups” is an old concept from the 1970’s re the PLO/PFLP, Japanese Red Army, IRA,MIR - Argentina, Tupermeros - Uruguay, eventially the Sandinistas, and the Basque ETA of Spain, among others.

This is what is happening again in the Middle East, similar groups with similar religious ideologies unite to attack a common enemy be it the Saudis, Yemen, Somalia, Syria, or Mali.

If the French succeed in defeating the Islamists in Mali, the key question to ask is what kind of information on the organization of the terrorist groups are they getting from captured jihadists?

The few survivors, and those from Algeria (if there were any), and captives taken in Libya, can provide extremely valuable information about the national and international contacts of their leaders and weapons trainers.

That is what we need to look for in the news media (I don’t mean CNN, MSNBC, etc. Fox, maybe, CBS, NBC and ABC, forget about. Look to the BBC channels for better and indepth coverage of Africa. Assuming that there is a French news channel that we can get in the US which might be trustworthy, but then again, they are from the French Left who are never trustworthy).

Also follow the Israeli press - Arutz, Jerusalem Post, Aaron Klein’s columns and Steve Emerson’s “Terrorism Investigative Project” on the internet.

By reading a lot of different sources across the spectrum, you will be able to get a much better picture of what is really going on than you will from our spineless State Department and Hillary Clinton, the two jokes of our foreign policies.

Listen to Hillary’s congressional testimony this week and see what she leaves out, how she dodges certain questions, and how many times she blames a lack of “clear” intelligence one what allowed the killings in Benghazi to take place.

We are now facing several international, but interlinked “jihadist”, Al Qaeda, and possibly Moslem Brotherhood, terrorist movements who move from one country to another like several simultaneous plagues of locust.

The refusal of the Clinton Administration to recognize this in the 1990’s is what has led to this, as well as 9/11 and other attacks on American soil.

The signs were all there, and a few people, esp. in the media, did yeoman’s work in putting the pieces together for their readers, but the Administration totally abdicated their role in having top-notch intelligence operations overseas, and we paid for it in blood.

For an Islamist terrorist the word “gruesome” does not mean anything. These savages, (and even lower than the lowest form of fecal life)want to die and if they can take (as they called them) “Crusaders” (Christians) with them then fine. I think the time has come to stop differentiating between “moderate” and “radical” Islam. Look how they treat each other. Look how Shiites and Sunnis slaughter each other inside or outside their own mosques. Look at all of North Africa and the rest of the Middle East. Killing and mayhem is cool as they exclaim “Allah Hu Akbar” whether they are getting killed or doing the killing and torturing.

The poor little Palestinian diddums are enjoying a free and open life despite all the limitations in, of all places, Israel where they can protest and vote (tomorrow) so stop bellyaching about “Free Gaza” and “Free Palestine”, compared to their brothers in 22 other Muslim countries, LIFE IS GREAT!

These people and their religion are psychopaths plain and simple and the time has come to stop defining them as either “militants” or angry young men, enough is enough. WESTERNERS, start confronting the problem, head on.
