How does one just get in a sanitation truck and drive off? I can't imagine they are just lined up on the street with keys in ignition. Also how convenient he trashed his own car and then boom out of nowhere he just so happens to find a vehicle unlocked with keys in ignition to steal. This almost sounds like an episode of bait car, uh I mean bait garbage truck.

Strange headline, because the story doesn’t make it sound as though the knife was ever used or even came into play.
The woman owes her life to that boy letting her into the house, even though it was a dangerous thing to do with 2 other small children in the home.
Of course if he’d had a hunting rifle instead of a hunting knife the house probably wouldn’t have been torched and a lot of cars wouldn’t need body work, but hey...

It was quite likely the fear of the home being protected by a gun that prevented the perp from coming in.
The boy needed a gun. A 14 year old in Texas used the family AR-15 to fight off two perps from his home and little sister, just two weeks ago.
I’d rather fix the car and the house then have my 14 yr old live with the fact he’d killed someone. Even a scumbag such as this.

She does owe her life to that boy. What a horrible decision. Let the screaming woman into his home or keep the door closed to protect his younger siblings. He was faced with a grown man dilemma and thank goodness all is well.
No one said anything about pulling the trigger. As in most cases simply being able to show the weapon might well suffice. The punk may have wanted to die by cop but may not have been so keen on being taken out by a schoolboy.
