Some of those things were going on but it wasn't the majority of the country, especially in the West. I was born in 1950 and I never saw a segregated anything. Don't believe what Hollywood tells you.

Seriously, don't believe the hate-America propaganda. Compared to damage done of minorities now days, those were much more “moral” days.

I was born in Utah in the 1950’s. I never even saw a black person until I was 12 years old except on television. Whatever opinion I formed was based wholly on TV.

It is sad in a way, but to tell you the truth, I really don’t believe I was prejudiced against blacks, they simply weren’t part of my reality.

Oh, did Hollywood make up segregation in schools, housing, transportation, jobs...? Thanks, I really didn't know that.

Seriously, stating the truth about any point in history is not propaganda of any kind; and the lesser of two evils is still evil.
