Obamanomics works!
On a related note, with the Federal government taking over the charitable role of feeding every soul who allegedly can’t afford to feed herself, why do food pantries (whether public or private) exist anymore?
So that those “dropping off” can see the nice new models of cars of those “picking up”.
Food pantries and soup kitchens are being aggressively discouraged every single day in this Country. And they wonder why charitable giving is down? Not only because people simply don’t have the extra money to give, but because the money they do give isn’t going to those in need.
Or another way to put it, more people signed up for food stamps today than likely live in your town.
My former neighbor became exceedingly wealthy by offering Take and Bake pizza.
It’s totally recession proof: since you bake it at home, he can take EBT (”food-stamps”).
he wants his base of voters to look amazing
Or to put it another way, how many government employees does it take to process more than 11 thousand applicants every day?
Not many. And the applications are rubber-stamped.
There used to be a stigma associated with cashing paper food stamp coupons but with an EBT card that works like a debit card, paying for food has become easier and convenient. And its tax-free, too.
I understand they can now use EBT for at least some prepared foods (they’ve become too stupid to cook for themselves apparently)
Some states allow EBT cards to be used at fast food stands and in restaurants.
The EBT is big business and I expect its range to be extended. That’s a big pot of money and every grocer and restauranteur wants their slice of it. Eventually, you’ll be able to use it online as well.
50 million people is a huge market. More buyers mean more profits. Ka-ching! Look for EBT eligibility and spending to skyrocket in the future.
bribes for votes
The federal government feeding people is unconstitutional!!!
To “promote the welfare of the US” is a state dept. function to promote ut US to other nations.
Let them starve!
Thanks Zakeet.
