There were SROs in schools about 30 minutes away in a New York county. Do any of the schools in Connecticut have SROs (school resource officers) and if not who decided against using them?
Were other schools and counties conducting these training drills on the same day or just this one in Putnam county?

My town in Connecticut, northeast of Hartford, has had SROs in the middle and high schools all along.
In the middle scool, they also act as teachers (health classes: drugs, alcohol abuse).
Since Sandy Hook, they’re in the elementary schools as well.

Here in Newtown the three upper level schools have a SRO, but not the 4 elementary schools.

The last flap I recall about SROs was about Single Room Occupancy and how it tended to attract undesirables to a neighborhood. How times have changed!
