Since every emplyee must now fill out an I-9 and have their Social Security card and Drivers Lincence/DMV photo ID photo copied and kept in their personel file, quit chasing illegals and have all Border Patrol agents check businesses for total compliance.
Any found to hire illegals, including homeowners, should be fined a minimum of $10m,000 for a first offense and $20,000 and 6 months in jail for a second ofense,.
Within 6 months there won’t be any work for illegals and they will self deport!!!!

Yeah, that was a low point. That so many conservatives fell for that nonsense was downright pathetic.
We can argue merits just stop the, this poll is bad because it is not what I want to hear.
The problem is, demographically, the country is changing rapidly - and not for the better. But especially for people that are rural conservatives, they just don't see what is going on since this transformation is largely taking place in urban areas away from them. This nation is shifting rapidly out from under the feet of traditional conservative folks, and blaming "skewed" polls and voter fraud is a way for many of them to avoid accepting that America is just not a center right country anymore. There simply aren't enough productive white people left to prevent the US from moving to a secular, socialist European model. That is our future, and there is probably no way to stop it.

In retrospect, the Tea Party was a self-inflicted wound. It created factionalism in a GOP that was already weakened by a combination of demographic changes due to (1) Kennedy's invite the world immigration program in 1965, (2) Reagan's amnesty program in 1986 and (3) GWB's lax immigration enforcement in his two terms of office. Moderate Republicans exist because outside of the South, many Republicans will not support a socially conservative candidate. Getting all worked up about their middle-of-the-road stance only sets us up for permanent minority status.
A lot of social conservatives point to polls where large numbers of blacks and Hispanics are against abortion. They are, but in many cases, for cynical reasons - i.e. abortions decrease their political power, by limiting their numbers. And yet black and Hispanic fertility is far above white numbers. I'm a conservative who couldn't care one way or another about abortion - whether it's legal or not is fine with me. At the same time, I see legalized abortion slowing the demographic changes that are making the country much more liberal.
