I also hear that those pistol grips like to kill. Without a pistol grip...the gun doesn’t work.

Many years ago, Robert K Brown, publisher of SOLDIER OF FORTUNE MAGAZINE, obtained one of the first AK-74 rifles in 5.45mm out of Afghanistan.

I assume it did not work as the pistol grip was broke off.
Oh wait! The bayonet lug was still on it so it might have worked after all.

Actually, the gun works fine.

The implication of Kalifornia law (and what DiFi is proposing) is that the pistol grip IS the assault weapon.

I own a rifle which used to have a pistol grip on it. By removing the grip, the rifle failed to become an assault weapon when the Kalifornia law was passed. If I was to re-attach the pistol grip (committing a crime), I would be manufacturing an "assault weapon".

Obviously, the pistol grip, all by itself, is the "assault weapon". Since my pistol grip is made completely of plastic, it is also able to escape detection by x-rays. What an evil device.
