The idea that no one in State or the CIA talked to the people who were rescued is nonsense. It is an outright lie. You don’t wait for the FBI to interview them. The people from the Embassy in Tripoli spoke with them. When they went to Germany they were interviewed. And the same holds true for when they went to Washington. There is always a debriefing by DS.

That is true. The MSG are there to protect classified materials and equipment first. They are not a personnel protection detail. The host government is ultimately responsible for protecting diplomatic facilities and personnel. If the host government can't, our people shouldn't be there.
