The Founders believed in God and inalienable rights granted by their Creator. They could not envision a time when the nation would become so prosperous the people would reject God and become self indulgent.

I believer they knew all too well, studying the world histories that they did; seeing the fall of Athens/etc. These were not ignorant men, they knew all too well how the other great Republics crashed around themselves; the same path we have been on for some time I'm afraid. We're on track and about in the 'bread and circuses' phase of the fall.

GOP candidates need to get past the idea of “moderating” their message towards the middle. That only allows the liberal candidates to come off sounding like a conservative.
