Fashion Editor Calls Out Michelle Obama For Acting Like An 'Indulged Starlet'

A renowned fashion editor was not impressed with Michelle Obama's behavior leading up to the Inaugural Ball.
The first lady reportedly asked between 15 and 30 designers to submit looks before going with this red Jason Wu number, which was kept secret.
"Mrs. Obama isn’t an indulged starlet primping for the Oscars, nor should she behave like one," writes Bridget Foley, executive editor of Women's Wear Daily. "Women everywhere have big events for which they select a single dress in advance of the moment."
Michelle Obama's behavior is high-maintenance compared with that of first ladies' past, such as Laura Bush, Foley wrote.
Foley speculates that Mrs. Obama liked the attention.
"But let’s say Mrs. Obama enjoyed the public guessing game; she must, or it wouldn’t have happened," Foley writes. "The rampant speculation should have been handled differently."
The First Lady's dress selection process was unkind to the fashion world, Foley said.
"At the very least, with five minutes of attention she could have cut the list to a couple of finalists," Foley writes. "As it was, Mrs. Obama’s fashion team needlessly disappointed and possibly misled many hard-working people, some of whom hoped vainly for a much-needed commercial boost."

It was also like to say, I am not the First Lady of all of the people; I just need fame now. I read that Mrs. Obama and her 2 daughters are into designer fashions. I think she is too huge of a woman to be a fashion model. She is transparent in other ways. We see her transformed by fake eyelashes, fake wigs, a custom form fitting girdle, designer dresses, lavish vacations, diamond accessories, along with her armed security teams and her constant run abouts to her Hollywood friends. She is like JJ (moving on up.. but JJ remembered where he came from which is why millions adored him so. In reality, we see an activist who hated the system; now she is benefiting from the very things that she hates. I cannot praise that when people are at the bottom working hard and being punished/overtaxed by her man; for just working. Call me a racist; knock yourself out in doing so. One cannot get way from the fact, that she is living a life of a Hollywood starlet. What are her causes!? To impress her media. Laura Bush had causes to really help with the support of women needing respect to their religious freedom across the world.

Exactly. I often wonder if she can be that dense about her fashion choices. She rarely wears anything that is flattering to her peculiar figure.
Her designer dresses look as if she bought them off the rack. For example, this dress has her bra bulges hanging out. What? Did the designer not have access to her for fittings?
I did notice on Inauguration Day, however, that she has apparently been getting help with her horrendous gait. When she and Obamugabe were shown walking in the street, it appeared that she was attempting to put one foot in front of the other instead of doing her usual Frankenstein stagger.

I didn’t see one single moment of that disgrace called an inauguration, but later on I saw a clip of Obama and Michelle turning and walking away from the camera, at one of the balls that night. Her rear end was unbelievably broad....just massive. It hung in the air and kept moving even after they were gone, like the Cheshire cat.
Or one who stood up straight - you know, proper posture?
And, as usual, she is slouching. Can't she learn how to have good posture and look like a classy lady?

Did you not see Mooshelle on her Hawaiian vacation a few years ago, without her wig, exposing her Olive Oly do?
She had it pulled back in a ‘pony tail’. There was a short nubbin that stuck straight out from the back of her head.
Her hair was plainly broken off- especially in the forehead area. Mooshelle does NOT have the coveted ‘good hair’.
There is no way this kind of hair could EVER be transformed into the lush, straight bangs do today she and the Libs lie about as being her hair.
It is a wig or extentions or a weave. It is NOT her hair.

Not even the finest, most beautiful gown would look good on this ugly woman though.
She kept clutching her abdomen. She's just getting over a tummy-tuck and some serious liposuction. That's why she now walks like that.

She sure looks like a nicely tanned “wanna be” indian from India. My wife (part indian, part caucasian ) skin toned looks like that but her hair doesn’t have to be “de-kinked”, and of course my wife’s teeth are smaller and nicer.

Be more understanging! After all she had suffered from slavery she needs a little break!
