This is a letter that I sent to Senator Bill Nelson a little while ago...
Subject: Gun control is people control.
Dear Senator Nelson:
I'm writing you today because of a letter you supposedly sent to one of your constituents.
The Second amendment to the U.S. Constitution
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.
I know you are an intelligent man, so I wanted this to be on record...
A well regulated Militia means a well equipped and trained people in the time of the Founders. You can review the Federalist papers (i.e. 26, 49 and others) to verify that definition.
Also, I'm sure you know what, "shall not be infringed," means too.
The Second amendment has to do with security, not hunting. As I'm sure that you are familiar with the Federalist papers, that means secure from tyranny of government.
As of the moment, my government is starting to scare me. I seem to be losing individual rights every day, that were not only embodied in the Constitution, but given to me by God.
So that my position is made very clear, if the government has an AR or AK, or whatever platform, and 30 round magazines, then I should have easy access to same.
Whether it is a crazy man (Loughner, a democrat), or Lanza (a crazy man whose mother was a democrat), or Holmes (a crazy man who happens to be democrat), it doesn't matter. It isn't the gun, it's the person.
You also probably know by now that Lanza was denied the ability to purchase a gun because of a background check. You also know that in FL, if you want to purchase a weapon, you have to undergo a background check.
In conclusion, Newton was a horrible tragedy. I feel so bad for the families involved. I'm sure you do too. Let us not us the blood of those innocent children to further a political agenda.
Thank you sir for your time.
Sincerely,
Mike Kehoe
us=use sheesh.
5.56mm
Even the original Sturmgewehr was not defined as an assault weapon.
It literally meant Storm weapon..
When 500 Palestinians are throwing rocks at me I consider rocks to be the same.
Maybe we should define assault weapons as “upper hand weapons”
The Upper class wants us to revert to rocks.
And in 1776 the flintlock was considered a military “style fire arm”
Maybe we need limits on the height of walls to give the bad guys a sporting chance and to preserve our beautiful view.
BAHH!
If they are banning these by name, couldnt the manufactures just change the name...

YES THEY COULD ... But it isn’t necessary ... she has listed “ALL AK Types” when in reality 99%+ of “AK Types” sold in the US were ACTUALLY “SKS” models .. Semiautomatic Kalishnikov (SK*) rather than Automatic Kalishnikov (AK*)... she and all her friends that helped make the list are TOO FRICKIN’ STUPID to understand the difference.
Translation of Gewehr
German English
das Gewehr the rifle
Hände hoch oder ich schieße auf die Ente mit meinem Gewehr.
Hands up or I will shoot the duck with my rifle.
At the end of the day, for the left it’s not about guns at all. It’s about control.
So yeah, next it would be sharp sticks and rocks.
Did you notice how Slow Joe was careful to parse the phrase “gun control”? Joe wanted it clear, `It’s not gun control, it’s “gun safety”’; in other words, abortion isn’t state sanctioned murder: It’s “choice.”
These people are constantly doing violence to the language and clear thinking. Time to start calling them out!
So, Joe—is it like Michael Corleone being advised to go to a meeting with Barzini, a neutral place where he would be “safe”?
I loved the scene where he he was preparing to go to the Italian restaurant to kill the police captain and the guy who tried to kill his father, and Clemenza asks him,
“OK, again, what do you do after you pop them both?”
Michael: “I sit down and finish my meal.”
;^)
Different FR article, sorry:
During the live chat, Biden also contradicted a questioner who asked about gun control.
I dont view it as gun control, he said. I view it as gun safety.
Well, He is The Vice Jackass. LOL
That was my point
And I agree.
Tavors are still legal...
ALL Thompson's, who knew that my black power, 50 Cal. was an assault weapon. Thank you Sen., Dianne Feinstein, Frankenstein.
My gun is not on their:
I have a protection device (assault weapon), BS-16 (AR-15) with a hand held extension (pistol grip) and multifunction shoulder assisted mount (adjustable stock) that can hold variable quantity ammunition deliverable accessories (high capacity magazine).
So if we change the names we’re good.
It was called the HK 91, but those aren’t imported into the US anymore. There’s another version now, but I’d rather not name it; no need to give big brother any help.
So if I read this correctly, the Ruger mini -14 is legal but the mini - 14 tactical is not. Makes perfect sense
I’m changing my rifle’s name to Buffy. There, it’s no longer in your list.
that is a great point.
They are talking about Thompson rifles based on the Tommy Gun, not Thompson/Center firearms, which is an entirely different company.
No matter what, this bill needs to be quashed.
The post I replied to specifically cited the “Thomson Icon.”
And I of course agree that the bill should die and it shouldn’t be a discussion in the first place.
Nice framing hammer! But only 15 ounce? Not enough if you’re a serious framer. I used a lot heavier Estwing when I was a framer 50 years ago! One tap to set, one SMACK! to finish the job.
It sounds lite doesn’t it?
But it smacks like one heavier. Less shock. Less arm tiring out.
As I get older that seems to be important. I can maintain my accuracy without the old wear and tear.
