Thanks to beefrank for making me aware of these new Glock commercials.
The first is funny, while the second is unnerving and should, I think, be watched by every parent in America.

Be even better to see one during the Super Bowl, wouldn’t it?
Not crazy about the diner one, since they made it cops instead of armed cituzens. It does remind me of the subway scene in Predator 2 though.

Staring into the barrel of a Glock can ruin your day.
I’d like to see a couple of well done pro 2nd amendment commercials during the Super Bowl.
I would too, but the Super Bowl is usually sold out months beforehand and because of the large expenditures involved the companies produce ad campaigns well in advance.
Sandy Hook didn’t happen until just before Christmas. I doubt ad time would have been available and even if it was, the cost of national advertising during that game is huge.
I'd wager that, if such commercials were delivered to the network, then CBS, the NFL, or both, would find a reason not to run them (e.g. "too controversial").
CBS would be acting in their capacity as a leader in the state-run media, while the NFL suits are intent on avoiding controversy for the sake of political correctness. Under the circumtances, an effective 2A ad would never see the light of day on the Super Bowl air.
Asking to buy ad time on lame stream media could induce heart palpitations in media execs.
Hmmmn - just another advantage of such an ad campaign.
That looks & sounds like former Marine Drill Sargent R Lee Ermey (Gunny) as the soda jerk!
Don’t forget the Dollar Shave Club commercial!

Yes, that’s him.
“Ermey is an official spokesman for Black Book, Glock firearms, Tru-Spec apparel, Tupperware, Victory Motorcycles, Hoover, SOG Specialty Knives, and the Young Marines, and has also appeared in commercials for Coors Light, Dick’s Sporting Goods, GEICO and pistachio nuts. He can also be seen giving a service announcement for Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas, demanding that viewers be quiet during the film. He is a board member of the National Rifle Association.”
I have a feeling he’s less than pleased with Dick’s Sporting Goods right now but I don’t know the situation. He could still have a binding contract with them for all I know.

Wait, I seem to recall some months ago Ermey and GIECO had a parting of the ways. I think I read about here on Freep.
Why does it have to be law enforcement? They only document the crime.
